Hp psc 950 from scanner to pc save

Although my printer is connected to my laptop it says no connection on the printer when i try to scan to pc save??? From my SETTING there is no hp 900 series/model. Please tell me what default alternative hp printer would I be able to use, to install my hp psc 950 into my Window Me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

You need to go to the HP website and download the driver for you all in one printer. I will be posting the URL and all for you shortly.

HI Geo,

Bad news, Hp has discontinued allowing downloads of drivers for Windows ME. Microsoft has stopped support and it has affected HP's abiltiy to support software for the older Operating systems. Although, They say that your CD that came with the PSC will work with Windows ME. You have to install that software to get you PSC 950 working properly with your laptop. I will continue to dig the internet for you a driver in the event you do not have this CD. Hope you have the CD. Good luck. I will be posting again later, and I pray that I can find you the right driver.

HOW TO USE THE SCANNER FEATURE ON THE HP PCS 950

You can start a scan from your computer or from your HP PSC. 1 Load your original.
2 Press Scanner, then press PC Save, if not already lit. This saves the scan to your computer.
3 Press Black or Color. For Windows, a scan of the original appears in the HP Image Viewer. For Macintosh, a scan of the original appears in the HP Workplace. In the HP Image Viewer, you can edit the scanned image. When you are done viewing the image, click Accept.
The HP PSC does a final scan of the original and sends the image to the HP Photo View Center in Windows. In the HP Photo View Center, you can:
- edit images, including adding text
- creative printing
- create and print photo albums
- send to fax, e-mail, web page, or other programs.

I need to scan a document from the printer (HP psc 950) to my PC

If you are using a Win Xp computer than try to scan using scanners and cameras utility under control panel. Else you can download HP scan drivers and perform scanning. Also 3rd party scan softwares such as photo shop will allow you to scan.

Scanner does not work

First make sure that the scanner drivers and all the PSC drivers have been installed.
Or try to reinstall the printer drivers by removing all Hewlett Packard's applications from "add - remove programs" in the control panel. Then disconnect your printer and restart the computer.
When the PC finishes loading windows, insert the HP printer software CD while pressing SHIFT on the keyboard for 30 seconds. Connect the printer again and follow the "Found new hardware" wizard instructions. When a gray sandglass pops up, choose "Decline" or "Not agree" to the license terms and continue with the installation.
After that, try to scan again from Photoshop or another scanning program. Remember that in the reinstallation, you haven't installed the HP image zone software.
