SOURCE: How to program 9242 remote to work with my Bell

The following instructions will enable the Bell 9242 remote to operate a Bell 5900 receiver. Remove back battery cover. Just below the "Bell" lettering on the front of the remote, there is a half moon shaped plastic insert "key" that slids out downward. Turn over the plastic key and reinsert back into postion and replace the battery cover. Success!

I have a Lionel 7796 New York Central. The remote blinks a constant red and it does not operate the locomotive.I thought it was the remote so Lionel sent me a new remote but the same problem exists.
The locomotive is not receiving the single from the remote . You need to paire them. In the Manuel should be intuitions for pairing. Hope this is some help.

How do i fix my remote to work my home theater. i have a htp-071 and my remote stopped working. the battries are brand new. I went away for the weekend and came home, remote didnt work. please help.
Test remote for operation. Problem is with either the remote or the receiver in the home theater.
Clean all battery contacts and install new, tested, working batteries in remote. Turn on am radio and tune AM dial to about 600 - turn up volume. Then bring remote to about one inch from radio and hit button on remote. You should hear a beep as long as you hold the button down. Every button will respond likewise. If nada at all remote is trashed, if works with some buttons then you have a partially operating remote. Try cleaning contacts for buttons that do not work or use some aluminum foil under those non working contacts.

I had to get a new TV HD receiver. How do I get it programmed to my MX-850 remote? It will not turn my TV receiver on when I push the on button. I have to manually turn on the receiver.
What kind of receiver did you get? DirecTV, Dish, or something else? This remote comes with software and cables you can connect to your computer. Once you install it, and connect the device, you can program it to connect with your specific electronic components. You may need your existing/original remotes to help get everything set up, but usually that is a one-time process.

Remote will not work for t.v or dish reciever but batteries are good, lights still work but will not turn tv on or off or turn reciever on or off or even get a guide menu. please help

Is this a new remote or the existing one? I have provided instructions on how to program the remote to your TV and to readdress the remote to your receiver. Select the model of the receiver you have, click on the link and the just follow the directions. The bottom portion of the page has links for TV codes to program the remote to your TV. If this doesn't work, you may need a new remote. I hope this helps.

On my pionneer VSX-820-K the dts light is not comeing on when i watch a movie with dts
You may have tuned in a program that advertizes DTS, but, the local cable company may not send it through their atiquated cable network.

DTS has never worked
Go to Manual program and keep the decoder field on Auto Mode.

Need manual to program remote to a different frequency
Each fan with have a receiver unit mounted in the housing, usually above the fan up against the ceiling. Each receiver unit will have 4 "dip pins" which allow the code to the remote to be set. In order for two fans originally installed with the same code to be run separately, one fan will have to be taken down, and the code changed on the receiver unit. Then you will have to purchase a new remote and set the same code on its dip pins (usually under the battery.) It's easiest to buy a replacement remote WITH a receiver AND a transmitter in it. You can either wire in the new receiver (setting the code differently than the existing one on BOTH the receiver AND the transmitter) OR just put the receiver aside and program the new code that you've set in the old one into the transmitter.
