The camera may display a FORMAT ERROR if the inserted media is not formatted or if the media was formatted on a computer. This error may also display if the inserted media is not supported by the camera. Please make sure that you're using either CD -R disc which does not require formatting or CD -RW disc. If you're using any other discs like CD +RW, CD+R may arise the error message. If the issue persists with a new different CD -R disc, service may be required for the Camera.
The System Error message displays when the files on the recording media have been copied or deleted repeatedly on a computer. Backup the files on your computer, then format the recording media in the camera to resolve this issue.
