Palm T3 - Nokia 3230 Bluetooth problem, will dial from T3's address book only once.

Hi, I own a Palm T3 and a Nokia 3230. I've downloaded the latest PhoneLink software from Palm so it lists Nokia 3230 as well. So please consider the following scenario: I run the PhoneLink program on Palm, pair the devices and select the newly created connection as my default phone connection. Everything is still fine, I can dial directly from my T3's address book, send SMS (using Palm's SMS program), send memos from Palm to Nokia, etc. At this stage if I turn 3230's bluetooth off and then back on it won't dial from Palm's address book neither it would send SMS messages from Palm (gives an error message in both cases), though sending memos is still possible. My Nokia 3230's firmware is: v 3.0505.2 19-02-05 RM-51 I did the same test with a Nokia 6670 and it worked fine. I could switch Nokia's bluetooth off/on several times with no problem. Thanks in advance daily hang on mobile

Communicate with computer (PC).

Hi, in order to connect the Nokia 3230 to the Computer, please download and install the Nokia Ovi Suite in the Computer, then connect through USB Data Cable which can be purchased in any Nokia Showroom or Mobile Shop.

Download Nokia Ovi Suite from the below link:

http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/nokia-suites-for-your-pc

You can also connect the Nokia 3230 to Computer using Bluetooth feature if you purchase the USB Bluetooth Dongle for the computer.

I have Nokia 3230 When i try to witch on the bluetooth conection, it showing "unable to perform bluetooth" I can't used my bluetooth until now...... Please help me... Regards Filton

Press *#2820#. It should show something like Bluetooth: XXXXX, where XXXXX is the Bluetooth address. If this message doen't come then it is a hardware problem. You should replace the bluetooth antenna. If it does come then it's a software problem, just resetting the phone will help. Good Luck

Pairing tungsten t3 with newer cell phones

I use Bluetooth to synch to my Sanyo cell phone, so I would think you could do the same. I maintain my Contacts in Outlook and synch with my Palm. I then synch my Palm to my phone.

1. Make certain that your Contacts (in Outlook, Palm Desktop, or whatever you use as your source to feed data to your Palm) contains ALL the phone numbers you want in your phone.
2. If, like me, you have a lot of contacts and a limited number (500 in my case) of contacts that can be stored on your phone, you will want to erase all contacts on your phone first.
3. On your Palm, go to Preferences
4. Select Bluetooth -- Bluetooth should be ON, Discoverable (Yes) and Connectable (Yes)
5. Turn on your Bluetooth-enabled cell phone -- I believe the range is 20-30 feet but I have not tested that. When I synch, I have them both on my desk because I want to see that it is working.
6. Select Trusted Devices. Hopefully, your Palm will detect the cell phone. When it does, add your cell phone as a trusted device.
7. Select Contacts on your Palm and use the pull-down menu to select Send Category.
8. Select Bluetooth
9. Select your phone
10. Your phone will probably indicate that it is receiving data. You should soon have all phone numbers stored on your phone without using a direct-connect cable.

Make sure you have the correct cable or bluetooth on your phone as well as your PC.  Then PC Suite will scan for your phone once it is connected.

Palm T/X

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = One thing you need first = =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Bluetooth capable phone [that supports bluetooth dialing]: Not all phones do this, even the ones with Bluetooth. My Motorola V551 worked fine with bluetooth dialing. My new Samsung does not, even though the palm and the phone recognize each other. With my Samsung, I can only send and receive contact info. So say you have a BT phone that supports BT diailing... ===setup your phone and palm=== In Palm Applications goto Preferences select Bluetooth Ensure BT is on and that your Palm is Discoverable and has a Name Select "Setup Devices" Select "Phone Setup" Select "Phone Connection" Follow through the setup guide and you should be nearly set. Once complete, exit back to Applications ==dial a contact== goto Contacts (or press the contacts button) select a contact so you see the contacts vCard info on screen at the top center of the screen select the palm icon. select the number for quick connect. you should then be in business

1 palm + 2 computers = successful hotsync?

Yes and.. no.

It is possible to have one Palm synchronized to 2 PCs (I do this with my T3), just make sure that you don't end up with any "overlapping changes" - items that change on both machines.

However, since Syncing takes a full backup of the Palm, having two completely different sets of data on two different machines is complicated at best. If you are are not careful you could lose all your info by accident. One way to get around this would be to put everything on on the T3 and use categories to separate work and personal items - which is what I do.

However, if you are dead-set on keeping all of your work stuff in one place and all your personal stuff in another, I would recommend that you get a second T3.
