How to change a MR16 bulb? - Emerson MW8107WA Microwave Oven

Changing the light bulb on your Sharp carousel microwave will allow you to have needed light inside the oven. Microwaves are not designed for consumers to change the light bulb due to manufacturer liability, but it can be done. Following the proper steps will ensure a successful installation. Step 1 Unplug the Sharp carousel microwave from the electrical outlet.
Step 2 Locate the screws around the outer cover of the Sharp carousel microwave and unscrew all the screws.
Step 3 Lift off the covering.
Step 4 Locate the bulb and unscrew. Screw in your new bulb.
Step 5 Replace the cover and screw back tightly. Once done, test your new bulb.

Changing the bulb
Warning: disconnect the appliance from the power supply before replacing the bulb
- Turn the cover one quarter turn to the left.
- Unscrew the bulb and replace it with a heat-resistant (300 °C) bulb of the same size with an E14 base - 15 W.

There should a sliding panel of glass or plastic covering the light. Remove the glass or plastic then you should see the light bulb. If the light buld is a regular old bulb unscrew it if its a small floorisent bulb twist it so it will roll out of its sitting position. Then you can take the bulb to any hardware store to match the bulb. back-light bulb is actually LED's and these fade when the capacitors fail 4 X 470uf at 10v and 1 X 1000uf at 16v on board behind display, change all 5 and it should be ok again.

I have had this trouble before but with a different model. There may be a plastic screen inside the microwave that will just pop off exposing the bulb. Now all you will need to do is to find out what type of bulb you will need to change the other bulb. I hope this made things easier on you.

push in on the bulb and then turn a quarter turn counter-clockwise,its a bayonet base bulb,not a candelabra base like a typical light bulb has

Normal procedure is to remove case cover to access the bulb.

Usually several screws on the back and some partially hidden on the front to remove. Sometimes the screws require a Torx screwdriver.

Unplug unit and avoid touching any wires.

Replace bulb with exact type.

Remove lid, you'll probably need a pozi drive screw driver and a tamper proof torx drive.
The bulb is located near the front.
