In some cases, MTU is not necessary to adjust. Its always automatic and defaulted to 1500. The router model that you have doesn't have MTU settings. You can download the User's Manual HERE. You must do port forwarding and open the xbox live port so you can play xbox live. If it keeps on telling you about MTU, you must set static IP address on your xbox's settings and power cycle your devices.

For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Then click on WAN settings and change MTU settings then save settings and restart router.

Mtu Settings for the Thomson ST585v6sl
The MTU is the Maximum Transmission unit. Basically this tells the router how small to break the packets up, that it sends to your computer. When your computer downloads a internet page, it comes to it from the router in pieces. The size of the piece is the MTU. Changing it will NOT speed up your bandwidth from .5 to 3. Whatever bandwidth you get from your provider is what you have. The only thing that your router does, that can slow it down is the security key. If you have the wireless security on, then it has to verify each packet. If you need it leave it on, if not turn it off. If you turn it off, ensure you have other security measures in place.

MTU
Hi again,

My sincere apologies. Power interruption and it took some time for the gen to kick in.

With your indulgence, I would post here my additional inputs.

Initially, I am of the opinion that your Zhone is not acting as a router but a modem or even perhaps as a bridge. Having said that for the xBox and your Mac to work simultaneously, you would need a dedicated router. This is further evidenced by your Default Gateway which i believe is your ISP/s.

Additionally, this is also the probable reason you can not access the Web Interface. Normally the web interface address is identical to your Default Gateway address.

Would appreciate your thoughts.
