You need to have a Windows XP SP2 bootable disc.
Just go to BIOS and enable the boot from CD/DVD
Insert the Windows XP disc
It will boot with the bootable disc and you just need to follow the on screen instructions.
You will need to format the HDD and do a clean installation which will result in data loss.
Please make sure that you take a backup of all your important data files before changing the operating system.

Try removing the battery then replace the battery and restart it. If that does not work contct you service provider's tech group and them walk you through a system factory reset. I hope this helps. DEon't forget to rate thuis answer.
