You've proved the problem is fuel not getting through carb. Most likely clogged fuel filter (replace but first flush out the tank and line to filter). Next, broken fuel line (brittle with age); take piece to hardware store for sizing and replace with "fuel line" - nothing else(!). Still no? Soak carb in cleaner, otherwise replace it.
That should do it, please let me know.

I have a 2000 Oldsmobel Intrigue and i changed the battery. Let it set for 15 minets had power until I turned the key

Double check your connections to the battery and also the starter. Be careful at the starter with battery connected you don't want to touch any metal with your wrench while tightening the wires best to disconnect wires to battery then tighten starter positive then reconnect batter terminals.

I have a cub cadet GT 2550. Has new battery cranks but will not start. Thinking it's not getting fuel. Checked fuel filter and fuel flows through.

If spraying starter fluid in the intake causes it to run for a few seconds, then you have a fuel problem. That starter fluid is the fuel. If it didn't have spark, it still wouldn't run. I would start checking the carb and make sure nothing is stuck or plugged.

On my honda 50 cc moped nthing happens when i press starter button nothing hapens trevor

The first thing to do is get a multimeter and check your battery. I assume it's 12V so you'll need a minimum of 12.6V. Then put your negative lead on battery negative and positive lead on the hot wire to the starter. If you have battery voltage when you hit the button move your negative lead to the starter ground and check again. If you have battery voltage then your starter is bad. The maximum voltage loss acceptable is .5V from battery voltage. If you don't have battery voltage after the first test possible fuse wire or switch, if not after the second test bad ground.

I am having a problem with my daughters 1998 subaru forester. sometimes it will start and sometimes it will turn over slow or just click.i checked the battery with a volt meter and got 12.4 volts ,it

It sounds to me like you have a dead cell in your battery it can have 12 volts and not enough cranking amps, my shop has a tester that can tell you exactly what's wrong with it without removing it, however if you take the battery out and take it to autozone or advance they can test it for you.

hi marlo. check the fuel level, the air filter, and the spark plug. clean or replace as necessary. then get a can of starter fluid and an assistant. give the air intake area, by the air filter a couple of squirts of starter fluid and then start it up. keep it running by squirting more starter fluid for up to 2 minutes until it will run on it's own. No guarantees without inspecting it but it sounds like a starter issue. Try changing the starter or contact the company/dealer you bought it from and ask. Do no tell them that you will fix it. They like to get paid for labor and I recently had a bad coil but they wanted 75 an hour to fix it. So I just spent 80 on both the coil and control box and replaced them myself, instead of spending $115 for them to replace the bad $40 part. Try the starter. It sounds like a bad one

You may have internal damage to the trans. Check the fluid level, and condition first, then you should have the car checked for codes by having it scanned with the proper scan tool. But if you have no engagement in drive, chances are you have an internal failure, in which case you will need some type of overhaul
