Xbox will not load a particular saved game

You have probably downloaded some DLC (DownLoadable Content) and it might have been deleted, so you have to re-download it to continue playing the game.

Sounds like your hard drive or memory chip that has a corrupt file that has affected it. Normally problems like this are only isolated to a specific game's save game files. If you have never had your console connected to xbox live then none of their updates or game patches would be present on your system; however other newer games you may have played, you might have noticed a you will need to update your system before you can play this game message on your screen. There are only 3 steps I can suggest the first is to reformat your system this will erase/revert everything to its default settings as if you're playing the console again for the first time. The 2nd would be to clear the concole cache and erase all updates. You do this method by going into system/memory/press y button/then press xx, left bumper, right bumper, xx if you do this correctly it will ask if you want to perform maintenance select yes. The 3rd option I have will erase any faulty updates which may have not completed etc. that may be causing an error, you do this by holding the synchronize button (just to left of power) then turn the power on, continue to hold the sync button until it loads completely then release. You will not receive any message or indication but any failed updates will now be removed from your system. Hope this helps, I would try these steps from 3 to 1 if I were you to, so hopefully you don't have to wipe all your saved games

The best thing to do is try to play with whatever content you don't have. Make sure it is downloaded to your XBox.

i do not think someone has experienced something like this but you could always try saving the game to the hard drive before you play and playing it off the harddrive which would make sense to work but if this has not fixed it, it means you have had a damaged fable 2 in your hardrive at one point and the only fix would be is to try to get a new xbox 360 if you are really keen on playing this game

Rob B is totally wrong, it has nothing to do with your 360 over heating or going to have the Red Ring Of Death. I am having the same problem too. Some of the old xbox games are compatible with 360 but some have bugs that do in some case render them unable to play to optimal performance. Try switching your display settings, I have one game that won't play at all unless my display is at 480p

bring your game to game stop or game crazy they might be able to help

Sounds like the save file is corrupt. You may want to see if you can't load a old save, or you might need to start again. It's a bummer, but these things happen, sorry :(

Here are things to try.

1. Try another game and check if it only happens on this game ( MLB 2k9 )

2. Select memory -> Select Y button for device options then press the following sequence on your controller

X,X Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X

You will see a message that goes like this " This will perform maintenance on your xbox 360 storage device, would you like to continue? Select Yes

3. Delete your save game. or try to start a new game..

Because this is an indication that the certain point that you are trying to load is already corrupted and its your saved game.

Sounds like a game bug, either that or this bug only occurs for this particular game disk.. check it out on a different ps3, or like i would do, return it or sell it

Hey Malcandcooki, I have been playing MErks2 for a long time now...When u get this error, what you should do is, When loading to the main screen, continue your game, then have one of your friends join in, as soon as they have loaded into the game...exit, once done with this, get your friend to start his game, then join.
