Wt-46809 has convergance issues

Thats almost always caused by a shorted convergence circuit. Installing a convergence repair kit will usually solve that issue. You can get the convergence repair kit for that model which contains the parts and the CD with repair instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com

your problem is most probably in convergence circuit.  very common for this model to have convergence output i.c.'s go bad  also possible that a fused resistor or two has failed.

hello theres a couple of codes you can try .1-2-7-0/2-4-5-7/0-3-5-3 /0-3-5-7 do not use the reset it may cause damage ti the tv good luck

Your convergence amp ICs have most likely failed and that will shut the TV down. You need to replace both convergence ICs they are both STK392-570 you can get replacement ICs with free instalation instructions at the following link.

On the middle circuit board towards rear is a metal wavy plate.On the back side(actually towards screen when looking from rear of unit),the middle screw has a ground wire(light brown) that is loose.

the fluid in the crt lens leaks onto the circuit boards..check for any wet areas or any gooey globs on the boards

One or more fuse devices open==caused by convergence IC

shorted. Solution==replace fuse(s) and STK I.C.(s).

I have the MITSUBISHI WT-46809 46" HDTV CONVERGENCE IC PROBLEM as well. I just ordered the STK392-570 IC for 7 bucks and I am going to attempt to switch them both out (two of them). I am getting the overstated "bow tie", "RBG separation" issue that you are talking about. I am going to attempt to de-solder the intergrated chips and put new ones in. I figure it is worth the shot, insted of paying 350-650 bucks to have some **** with average skills do the same I figure it is better to have this **** with average skills do it and keep the cash. I will let you know how it goes.... DJ
