Remote will only start when i am close to vehicle

It depends on many things - mostly the range of the system itself and especially where you located the remote antenna. Some installers don't use the antenna and that will limit range severely. Most manufacturers want the antenna routed up the windshield pillar and mounted near the top of the windshield glass. This gives best reception since glass does not hinder the RF signal. OF course, a weak battery in the remote can cause range issues as well.

Why can't I connect to wireless?

Distance may be a problem also. You may wish to use a power line ethernet switch for the router to the television if on the same power circuit. May need a wireless repeater to get the range .

If TV has a wireless antenna socket you may be able to use 5DBi gain wireless antenna to get more distance
(no Guarantee Gain antenna will fix problem )
Another problem could be how many devices are already on wireless. May have reached max capacity of devices on wireless router.
try moving tv closer to wi-fi to eliminate distance as a possible cause

Motorola mj270r no range

Handheld radios talking line-of-sight with no obstacles will communicate approx. 2 miles. When talking from inside a building to outside, you can expect 1/4 to 1/2 miles range. Holding the antenna perpendicular to the ground gives you the best range. Height and placement of the antenna determines range. If you were on a mountain you could talk many miles into the valley below. However, in real world applications, range is limited. It can even be limited by the body fluid of the person wearing the radio on their hip, or blocked somewhat by the metal of the automobile one is riding in.

Channels 18-22 are listed as GMRS channels and may have more power than 1-17. The FRS channels are limited to 1/2 watt. But don't be fooled wattage doesn't equal distance. Higher wattage may give you a little more distance, but mostly it will give you clarity in the fringe areas.

And I see where they are quoting 27 miles*, and go on to say:

Actual range will vary depending on terrain and conditions, and is often less than the maximum possible. Your actual range will be limited by several factors including, but not limited to, terrain, weather conditions, electromagnetic interference and obstructions.

Unfortunately, we are seldom in idea conditions. Radio-to-radio is going to get you 1/4 mile to 2 miles in real conditions.

To be able to get the same distance in all directions for local use the best type of antenna is a vertical with as much gain as possible. Most makers quote gain in db and this means how much better the antenna is than a plain wire antenna. This antenna will also work for dx on sidebands but the signal goes out in all directions the same distance.

If you want to get a longer range in one direction you have to sacrafice the distance in other directions. To do this you need a directional beam antenna. There are several brands with very little between any of them. What you need to be looking at, if you decide to use a beam type antenna is either "yagi" or "log periodic array" antennas. These are types of antenna rather than brand names. The log periodic array will give the longest range and the yagi will give the next best. Log periodics are very expensive but give the best results. Yagis come with different amount of elements. The more elements it has the better it works but even yagis with 3 to 4 elements give significant improvements over vertical antennas. Because both these type antennas concentrate the signal in one direction you need to be able to rotate it to the direction you want to send, and receive, the signal unless you only want to send it one direction. This means that you might need a mast and rotator which allows you to turn the antenna from a control beside the radio. These make the hobby even more expensive so it depends on how much you can afford to spend. Also make sure that the antenna you buy is resonant on the frequency you'll be operating on i.e. 27Mhz. Otherwise you'll burn out your radio. If you google the different types of antennas you'll find places selling them. You can also buy an antenna tuner that matches antennas to your radio if the frequency is not exactly matched to the radio. It reduces your power out a little but makes very little difference to the range of your signal. Also get the antenna as high as possible to a maximum of 30 feet. After that the gain is offset by the loss of signal through the co-ax cable. Use low loss co-ax cable to reduce the amount of signal you lose between the radio and the antenna.

Having said that I've contacted America from the west of Europe several times using a vertical antenna so you might not want to go for the best.

You need to be aware that there's an eleven year sunspot cycle which affects the long range radio communications. At the height of the sunspot activity you'll get long ranges without any difficulty and at the low you'll rarely get long range. At the moment we're just coming out of the low so it will be another few years before we reach a high. Just don't judge your dx activity on how well you do at the moment.

Good luck with the radio and if you enjoy it consider becoming an amateur radio operator. It gives you more frequency bands to use so the sunspot activity doesn't limit you so much as other frequencies improve with low sunspots. I started off with CB and am now an amateur radio operator for over 30 years.

Dose it work good like i live in a prtty good nabor hood dose it get good distance will it conect withe other bigger cb radios

Typically, this type of handheld has a useful range of approximately 1-2 miles. This distance will be increased with other radios being mobiles and base stations. Distances of 5 miles is possible if the other person has a good base station antenna. I would not expect much from the stock rubber ducky antenna.

I tested it last weekend in Vermont, 1.72 miles, 60 feet elevation differential, through woods. First unit inside a wood frame dweling. Second unit was inside a steel frame building, wood sheathed. Communications was faultlessly clear.

I lose the signal from my 2300 if I move past 30 feet away from it. What can I do to increase the signal distance?

Things that will affect the range on a Wireless router signal are signal strength, and a big factor to this is the antenna you use. The small antenna that comes with the router normally offers around "Up to 100m" indoors and "Up to 450m" outdoors (open range) range, router to computer, and replacing this antenna with a higher gain directional antenna pointed towards your laptop would normally be a way to improve this signal. Router login involves using web browser and going to http://192.168.2.1 and login is admin as well as the password of admin ... unless you have changed it! At any rate, if all antennas are correctly attached the router to computer distance would not be a problem. Check antenna connection, replace if all secure and still have low signal strength. Please let me know the outcome of the repair efforts? Thank you.

They dont reach over a klm,they where to be 36klm

Handheld radio range has always been way over sold. The biggest problem with handheld radios is not as much the power output but the inferior antenna system. To be able to predict radio range you must know transmitter power, receiver sensitivity, receiver selectivity, gain and height of each antenna system, distance and obstacles between. I feel sure that you are probably getting true expected range. Sorry!
