Electrolux side by side freezer baskets remove how

Hello augustus_ eli - To remove the top and/or bottom basket, pull the basket(s) out until it stops. Then, lift up on the handle and pull out at the same time to completely remove the basket. To reinstall top and/or bottom basket, align the basket with the rails and push in. The middle basket is held in place by four retainer clips; two on each rail. Before removing the basket, note the location of each retainer clip. To remove the baskets from the retainer clips grasps the handle firmly and pull up. The basket should release from the retainer clips. To reinstalled the basket place the basket on top of the retainer clips and press down.

We have MAYTAG model #RSW24 , for last month we are having continuous water dipping from freezer bottom basket place. After checking everthing looks normal, yet water leakage didnt stop .Your advice is...

I had the same problem. The fix was to remove the freezer baskets and defrost the trough behind the back panel wall at the bottom of the freezer section with a hair dryer. This trough takes melted ice created by the auto defrost cycle out the freezer section through a small rubber tube drain into a pan located underneath the refrigerator. My first effort was not successful but the second time I did it it worked. In addition to defrosting with the hairdryer the second time, I also blew out the rubber drain line with a small air compressor. This solved the problem and I have not had a freeze up for the past 6 months.

My ge profile washing machine went off balance and moved across the room.the basket is no longer centered. is the basket broken?

Hhi, It could be the basket brackets have jump over the shipping bracket and will not let the basket center it self.
There are 2 clips in the gap between the top and thefront panels. use a flat blade and push in on the clips releasing the front panel. It will lift off. The bracket I mentioned is located under the motor. There are 2 brackets and they have holes in them. If the basket is lodged against these 2 brackets, just bend them down toward the bottom to get htem out of the way. They serve no purpose. While you have the front off, the basket hangs on each corner. Make sure eash corner is still attatches to the hangers.
I hope this helps you.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Shelves that wont stay

I had the same problem. With the basket install empty I notice there was about ¼" gap from the bar the far most side of the side rail. SO I removed the left side rail and found a peice of laminate flooring and cut it to the same size of the the bracket (also predrill the holes so the screw holes match up). I had to buy 3 new screws that were ½" longer the orginal. I reassembled the wood and rail bracket . I then slid the basket in the rail, then started the load the backet up with frozen items. It works perfectly. The basket does not fall any more! Total cost... 3 screws ($0.15).

The answer to your question is yes. You can access the drain from the back of the freezer. In most cases there is a seal loop that sometimes plugs up. You will see the hose going into the drain pan under the unit. I use a piece of speedometer cable as a mini rotorooter.
