If you are looking for a replacement AC adaptor for an Axion DVD player, I would strongly suggest first checking with the manufacturer for more information. Typically if a manufacturer is unable to provide you with a replacement part, they may either have a list of aftermarket replacement parts that are compatible with your model or have a list of other retailers that currently carry their replacement parts.

Please try to put in an ordinary audio CD track and see if this is detected. If yes the optical is working, if not there is no laser scanning and the possibility of the head being faulty is high.
It is best is to cleaning manually the laser head eye with a cotton bud using gentle pressure without pressing the lens eye.
If there is no result then it is possible that the optical head unit is faulty.
