SOURCE: How do I reprogram the numbers on speed dial ? and or add them or delete them?
Canon left me on hold for 30 minutes then told me this wasn't their problem and I should call my dealer for service. I'll try that now. Nope - they didn't know either.
Eureka! Lift the panel that covers the speed dial buttons and push the button labeled "data registration". Using the arrow buttons find the speed dial info and figure it out from there. Good luck!

Reset the memory from the display panel. Or have a tech remove the main board from the machine and let it sit. Some times data gets stuck in logic circuits, and normal operation of the machine cannot remove it. You either replace the board or kill all power to it the install it back it the machine. If problem returns there is probably damage to circuits. Use ESD protection and electrical safety precautions or send to shop

The easiest way is to use the intranet interface. Enter the IP address of the fax machine into your web browser on your computer (on the same network) and you will get the interface. Select the administrator role (hopefully the password will still be blank), and then go to the address section. You can enter speed dial numbers there.
