How do i fix it so that it will collect water?

1st ck that your humidistat is set correcly and unit cycles the compressor on/off correctly ,Not just the cirulation fan running all the time , next ck your filters , clogged up filters wont allow air to pull thru unit , also are you sure room has enough moisture in it to pull water from, Most units wont draw a percievable amount of water out of air thats got less than 52%rh , as most homes target a 70%rH as normal

How to drain water on carrier optima

all the window units now days do not drain water out on the ground. the condenser fan is made so that it picks up the water and is sucked through the condenser coil and evaporates it. now if there is a lot of humidity in the air then it makes more water than it can dispose of. if you are getting water in the room than pull the unit and wash it out there is a channel on the right side of the unit if facing going from drain pan to condenser area that will get stopped up and the unit needs to be pulled every year and cleaned

GE MODEL # PSS25MGN water wont dispense on door ice maker works

Your water line could be frozen inside the freezer door. Open your freezer door and remove the kick plate on the bottom of the unit. Follow the water line from the door under the unit and it will be clipped under the unit. Pull out the water line and disconnect either line from the coupler (push the water line in and hold the ring then pull out the line). After you do that close the door and try the water again, if you get water then you will need a low wattage heater for the door.

How do you drain water from a LP1010snr air conditioner?

P2 means the water collection tank is full and needs to be drained. You have to pull the drain plug at the bottom of the unit and drain the water.
Drain the water (small amount actually) in the shower. Note: There is a cap towards the bottom of the unit that you will need to unscrew, then pull out the rubber plug. Fired up the unit after the water drain ... it worked fine.

NanoMax Portable Air Conditioner does not drain and unit's red light continues to come on with unit cutting off in a matter of minutes. Unit is less than 3 years old. Purchased from HSN or QVC, which...

There is a drain plug for the water on the rear lower back of your unit. You have to pull that plug out and it should drain the water out. The water is from condensation of the air you are conditioning. Probrably in the lower middle portion. Unscrew the cap and pull on the black plug. If it is plugged you need to take a small hanger and gingerly move it back and forth in the drain opening until the accumulated water drains.

THE UNIT STARTS WHEN I PULL THE CORD...THE HOSE IS CONNECTED TO THE UNIT...BUT WHEN I PULL THE TRIGGER OF THE GUN...NO WATER COMES OUT

Make sure the water supply hose SCREEN where it connects to the unit is not clogged. You should get water through the nozzle without the unit running. If your not getting water with the unit off... the water supply hose is full of AIR or the screen is blocked. Loosen the water supply connection and purge the air from the hose (Clean screen if you have not already done so)
If this does not work there is more that can be done with the unloader / bypass valve. Respond here and I will help you AFTER you check the above.

Indow uinit dropping water

Make sure the unit is leaning just a little backwards. If the unit is tilted in, the water will drain out the front.
Also, take the filter out and look at the evaporator coil .(looks like a small radiator)
If it is dirty and stopped up, chances are, the drain just behind the evaporator coil is plugged up. If this is the case, the unit will have to be pulled out, the case will have to be pulled off and the unit will need to be cleaned. If water is used, be careful not to get the motor wet or any other electrical components. Also if you use water, let the unit dry out in the sun for an hour or so.. Good luck I hope this helps you.

I have an apprilaire 700. I pulled the plug on it because the water department had a main break. Since then the unit does not work. I connected the brown wires that come from the unit while the furnace...

If water main break you may have a little debris in the water line. There is a very small orifice in the solenoid and would not be hard to plug. Shut water off and pull line off humidifier and see if you can blow out line.
