Hi! You need to open the software that uses the camera (for example Lenovo easy capture software). then, click on the button for the camera settings (it looks like a gear button) on the settings configuration there is a page for camera settings, make sure you choose the lenovo easycamera on the dropdown and that should fix the issue, this step usually resolve this problem. else you may need to reinstall the camera driver.

The camera driver needs to be updated, go to start, programs, windows update and download all the udates, look especially for any hardware updates needed in the left corner, you need to select it the computer won`t do it for you, after you see it says windows is up to date, then try your camera again. good luck.
The laptops that have integrated cameras still need software to start them and run them. Go to the Emachine support and driver page and type your model into the search box and navigate to the drivers page. Look for the webcan driver and software for your model. Download and install.
Yes the E625 was outfitted with I believe a 1.3 megapixel camera. You will have to go to the Acer support driver page and download the camera driver and then you will need the Acer webcam software or a third party application to use it.
Make sure that the usb drivers do not have conflick right click on my computer and go to propertys open the device manager and see if there are any conflick of driver unistall the camera and drivers for the camera restart the laptop ad the setup disk and follow the prompts to reinstall the drivers if you dont have a setup disk download the driver and put them on a disk ,if you install from a disk you will have less chance of conflick than you would if you just down load and install from the internet.
After weeks of trying to install my Acer Crystal Eye Camera on an Acer Aspire 6920 with a fresh vista install, I have finally solved this problem.
The error I was getting when trying to install the drivers:
"Could not install device. The required section was not found in the INF."
The problem is a missing registry key for Imaging Devices. Here's how to fix it:
1. Start Menu > regedit.exe 2. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE 3. Expand SYSTEM 4. Expand CurrentControlSet 5. Expand Control 6. Expand Class (and keep it highlighted/selected)
7. Edit > New > Key 8. Rename the key to: {6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F} 9. Open the key, in the right hand side double click (Default) 10. Rename the Value Data to: Imaging Devices
11. Reinstall device drivers and you're done!
Look down the list and see if there are any yellow question marks, or red exclamation marks on any of the hardware.
If there are then please post back what it says there.
Chances are your driver has been corrupted, or the device has failed.
i say that you are using windows xp. what we have to do is do a system restore in order to return to the time just before youve installed the camera.
if you have any softwares installed after the time youve installed the camera, those softwares are also going to be gone.
so its your decision if you want to mae a system restore ok?
here is how to so system restore.
click start>run>type restore...a window will open and double click on the " rstrui.exe". follow the prompts and select a specific time before youve installed the cam.
