SOURCE: Can you use Oxyclean along with detergent in front loaders?

I use 2 Tablespoons of Liquid Detergent and a 1/2 to 3/4 scoop of Oxyclean and I have had good results in my Front Loader. Clothes come out very clean and there is no residue on the inside of my washer.

SOURCE: FRONT LOADER DOOR LOCK WONT OPEN OR JAMMED

On a Bosch wfmc3200uc there is a green plastic string, similar to fishing line, located behind the round panel on the front of the machine. It is attached to the top right of the round black piece. Just give a slight tug this will release the lock.

SOURCE: Maytag Neptune Front Loader washing machine - door won't lock

It won't spin because the door won't lock. The door won't lock because the door lock mechanism is bad. I ran into this many times with the Neptune's when I was working for Sears. It is not a very easy fix. It is a pain to get to that door lock and replace it. You will most likely need a repair person to come out and fix it. I hope this helps you, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I hope you have a good rest of the weekend though and let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck.

My whirlpool clothes washer starts agitation as soon as i start the wash cycle

Front loaders always do, top loaders sometimes do. With a top loader, you can start your cycle and then add your clothes.

With a front loader, the idea is that the detergent is being washed out of the detergent drawer, and to stop it all landing on one garment and sitting there, the drum rotates to spread the happiness :>D

What lime scale / detergent remover can be used for regular cleaning of my front loader.

Front-loading washing machines are energy efficient and use less detergent than top-loaders, but they sometimes have a tendency to harbor mold and unpleasant smells. By giving your washing machine a quick clean once a month, you'll keep your front-loader fresh, which means cleaner clothes, too. This eco-friendly method doesn't use bleach, costs only pennies to make, and comes together with ingredients you already have on hand.
What You'll Need:
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Scrub sponge
Directions:
  1. Start by mixing together the baking soda and water in a small bowl. This is going to be the "detergent" for cleaning the washing machine. Pour the vinegar into a measuring cup and head over to your washing machine.
  2. Add the baking soda mixture to the detergent container of your machine and pour the vinegar into the drum. Set your washer to normal load at the hottest water setting. Close the door and start the machine, letting it do all the hard work for you. The baking soda and vinegar naturally break up mineral deposits and any mold growth while cleaning and refreshing your washing machine.
  3. Use a clean scrubber to rub around the opening of the washing machine, removing stubborn mold or residue. Wipe clean with fresh water.
  4. Your washing machine is sparkling clean and ready to do a load of laundry! Give your front-loader a cleaning once a month to keep your clothes smelling fresh and your machine working in tip-top condition.

I have front loader washing machine and the rubber has got mould and having difficulty in removing the black mould

  • Saturate an old cloth with white vinegar. Alternatively, you might use petroleum jelly on the cloth to remove the mold.Pull the gasket out gently with your hands to reveal the mold and mildew buildup inside the folds of the gasket.Wipe the mold away from the gasket with the cloth. Continue working to wipe away all mold from the folds of the rubber gasket.Dry the folds of the gasket with a dry cloth when you finish removing the mold.Repeat this procedure at least once per month to prevent mold and mildew from forming. If you notice mold occurring more frequently, clean it off when you see it.

  • Tips for Preventing Mold & Smelly Problems:
    • Always leave the door and dispenser unit slightly ajar after the laundry is done. Front-load washers and the detergent/softener dispenser drawer must dry out.
    • Never leave a wet washload in the washer overnight; remove it when the washing cycle is complete and leave the door open.
    • After a load is done, always rotate the drum with your hand to see and remove all items. Some could be sticking to top or sides of the washer drum.
    • Use softener sheets in the dryer instead of liquid softeners in the washer.
    • Liquid detergents may leave less residue than powdered formulas which may not dissolve properly.
    • Use less than the recommended detergent level for your load. Too much detergent can cause a residue build up. Experiment until you find a minimum measurement that delivers a clean wash. This is also a money saver.
    • Occasionally wash some loads such as whites, linen and towels in warm or hot water to help flush out wash residue.
    • Always clean your washer as per your product manual. High efficiency front-load models have a cleaning cycle and it's imperative that you periodically run this cycle as directed.
    • Check the gasket just inside the door opening and remove any visible debris. You can also wipe it to speed the drying process.
    • Always use HE detergents with high efficiency front-load washers. Specially marked HE laundry detergent is low sudsing and is recommended for these low-water washers.
    • If this advice was helpful a vote with the thumbs up would be appreciated. Thanks.

How to operate the washing machines front load washer brandt bf850

    Hi,
  • Open the front door and load the clothing into the washing machine. Check the owner's manual for the maximum load size. Overloading the washing machine may interfere with its ability to spin the clothes and rinse them clean.

  • Fill the detergent receptacle on the front of the washing machine, making sure not to fill it past the indicated line. Always use a liquid detergent that is designed for front-loading washing machines.
  • Add bleach or fabric softener, if needed. Most front-loading washing machines have a section for fabric softener inside the detergent receptacle. Check the instructions on the bleach to find out when it should be added to the washing machine.
  • Close the front door of the washing machine and make sure it locks into place. The machine usually will not turn on unless the door is securely locked.
  • Check the owner's manual to find out how to select the different options and wash cycles. As a general rule, use warm or cold water for most types of colored clothing. Hot water should only be used when washing white cotton items.
  • Start the front-loading washing machine and let it run through the entire wash, rinse and spin cycles before opening the door to unload the clothing.

  • Please rate this solution. Regards.

What makes a series III washer stink like stagnant water?

    J. Garber:
ALL washing machines will build up deposits of gunk in places that you cannot see or readily access. In top loaders, the typical place is underneath the agitator and on the inside of the wash tub (part that holds water). This "gunk" typically consists of body oils, detergent deposits, calcium deposits, hair, dust, dirt, etc. This stuff gets and stays wet. Wet and warm plus "gunk" equals smells. Top loaders can easily solve this problem by removing and cleaning the center column and agitator, then super chlorinating a batch of wash water (no clothes). Fill the washer, putting in three or so cups of bleach, let sit for an hour or so. This should clean the tub. Leaving the top cover open will also help as well as washing smaller batches of clothes more frequently. I have also found that infrequent use of a washer will frequently cause the the residual wash water in the pump(s) to go stagnant. Running a quick small rinse before washing clothes will solve this problem. Front loading washing machines typically have a cleaning cycle and specific instructions as to how, as well as how often, to clean the machine. Have you read the operating manual? I find that leaving the door open and running a fan that blows air inside the machine for an hour or so after washing also helps dry out the machine and keeps mold and bacterial action down by drying out the machine quickly. Keep the door open if at all possible. Removing and drying the detergent dispensers as well as the detergent dispenser opening also helps. Changing detergent may also help. Most front loaders recommend HE detergent. Use the absolute minimum amount of detergent necessary to get your clothes clean which is often a couple of ounces or less. There are also products that claim to clean your machine and eliminate odors, but I have no experience with them. Keep it dry. Keep the door open. Use a fan to blow air around and dry the machine out. Run the cleaning cycle as often as neccesary.

    Ariston front loading washing washing

Believe it or not.....its almost always the cloths ( heavy blankets) that one places inside.
TRY:: In the spin cycle if the load is unbalanced the TUB will rock and make that "loose drum out of alignment" noise. STOP the machine and open the door ( IF IT IS A TOP LOADER ) realign the cloths (heavy or more then one blanket) so that it is EVENLY spaced through out the tub.Start the machine again. If it does it again, stop the machine and REALIGN the cloths (blanket !!) again.
p.s. there is a simpler way of doing it but I don't want you to loose your hand in the process.
