This sounds like a cable issue. Assuming your Dish receiver is connected to your TV with a HDMI cable (ends are rectangular and the connector is trapezoid in shape), you can first attempt to switch HDMI ports on the back of your TV. If you get the same message, you can try flip the cable end for end -- plug the TV end into the receiver and the receiver end into the TV (I know, sounds silly, but has worked for me). Next is a new (better -- don't get a $5 cable, most good HDMI cables start close to $20 and up depending on length).

Now if you happen to be connecting via a "standard" TV cable (RG 6), first make sure that the cable is screwed on snuggly (no wrench needed, just finger tight). Next is to get a new cable.

How do i set up my LG43uh620v smart 4ktv for sattelite reception.i have a sattelite dish ariel plugged in?

Easiest way would be use the HDMI output from your Satellite Receiver box to your new TV. If you don't have a Satellite Receiver box at that location, you'll need to get one from your service provider.

Your TV will not interface directly with the dish - you need the equivalent of a cable box to decode the signals from the dish, select channels, etc.

Programar tv jvc con control remoto dish network

fidgar,

If I understand you correctly, you are having a problem with you DISH Network remote operating your JVC TV? What type remote do you have? If you look on the back at the top, you will see an 2 digit number; e.g. 3.0 ir. Please let me know what the model number is and I can provide you with code to try to program the remote to your TV.

Remote for TV2 will not operate sattelite. It works the TV but will not change the screensaver screen

thughes272

If the TV 2 remote does not remove the screen saver when you press "Select", the remote probably needs to be readdressed to the receiver. You want to take the TV 2 remote to TV 1 location. I have provided a link with the full instructions on how to readdress the remote. I hope this helps.

I have a dish tv disk at my home. I have troubling in dish tv channels just few channels are working like star news zee action national geographic and some channels like colors sony max tv are working in...

The problem with checking signal strength is you have to know exactly what sattelites are used and what transponders there on. dish net uses 119 and 110 and sometimes 61.5 your best bet is to check sattelite menu. Hit menu once that comes up hit button number 6, then button number 1 then button number 1 again. then you have to run a test switch its right in the middle, If it finds anything or low signal there will be a check details or error message in red on the bottom of the screen, it will tell you exactly what is wrong. Also one more thing is you can go to menu then hit button number 6, then number 1, then number 3. If the signal is good on the t.v. then it is probably what they call L.O. Drift or Lnb drift which that check will tell you, this is common for older dish systems especially super dishes, which are the big dishes if this is it then you have to schedule and appointment and they will upgrade your dish. If this is too much to take in, you can always call customer service they will walk you through the same thing step by step.

Trying to install an English freesat box in Spain is this possible as the the signal says no signal strength on the screen whats the answer anybody help us The model number is DTR2520 it is a brand new...

is a dish position , not in position, need a special signal meter, to tune the right signal, and normaly must replace the dish head, old models has low digital output signal. you need a specialist to tune the dish position and get the proper compatible dish head. for your receiver.

Picture not as good as i expected

First, did the satellite company install an HD receiver? Second, are you using either component or HDMI cables from receiver to TV?  Still there are two factors that would produce your problem.  1. Color calibration 2. Signal strength
Proper color calibration is what makes SD actually GOOD on HDTVs. Low signal strength will create  a slow data situation. Slow data will not provide enough information per second for the TV to display a complete, error free picture so your TV has to interpolate or "guess" what colors should go in the pixels that it didn't get the data for.
