Try removing the battery for 10 minutes. Press and hold the Enter button for 60 seconds to fully dissipate power in the unit. Re-insert the battery. Then power it up. If that doesn't work, contact your Credit Card Processing Company and tell them you need a new one.
Bad RTC and Tamper can be repaired. the machine is equipped with multiple
sensors inside. if one of them goes bad, or the Battery is dead
tampering or bad RTC
will show this can be fix by replacing the sensor and or the battery if

VeriFone provides a clear tamper application to its service centres. you would have to locate a service centre closest to you to have that error cleared.
