Delonghi magnifica evo never stops grinding coffee beans

Ground coffee beans can squirrel their way into hard to reach places in a grinder and cause problems. I think it is clogged with grounds. Remove the beans. Reseat the burr (grinder). Reset the adjustment ring to 3. Lock itin place with the silver handle. Reinstall the hopper and beans. Here is a tutorial on more advanced cleaning and maintenance: You can skip the ad. I have a Miele CVA 4070 that stopped grinding beans.

I have had this happen with Franke commercial grind and brew makers. The way to fix it is to push the handle of a wooden spoon down into the bottom of the hopper when it starts to grind. We had a batch of coffee beans that were prone to sticking across the bottom of the hopper. I figured it was something to do with the bean, the roast and the oil.

this problem is usual caused by the valve at the base of the brew unit. not working correctly or the solenoid which controls it. usually a replacement brew unit can resolve this.

Vac out the bean chamber, then remove the 2 or 3 screws and carefully lift the bean hopper off the machine, then continue cleaning the grinder, careful not to lose the gasket around the top of the grinder. When done reassemble and try to brew but do not add beans to hopper as yet. Until you are sure all the plastic pieces are out.
