I am working on a Cabrio drayer, the plastic piece is broken that actuates the start on the control pad. I was trying to replace the plastic panel just behind the control panel, but it seems I have to replace the entire control panel along with the pad. This is costing around $186 , any way around this?

If you replaced the lid lock then you know how to get the top of the cabinet up lift the top up there should be a technical sheet in a plastic packet on the front panel it will tell you how to run a diagnostic if not there turn machine off press and hold any button except power/cancel for 3 seconds release 3 seconds repeat until 88 appears after that any fault codes should appear I have only had to replace a control twice on these units I am curious to see if you get an F50 or F51 code this is the most common when this machine first starts the lid should lock a short rotation of the basket lid unlocks then locks a short fill then rotation of the basket let me know what you find could be the control but I would like to eliminate the rotor and RPS sensor

did you feel the clicking sound when button is press ? if no clicking sound , then it's the switch broken/wire loosen, if you cann't feel the clicking, then the plastic behind the button broken

I pulled the circuit board out of this part and used a piece of duct tape to secure the broken plastic keeper that aligns the plastic button actuator with the switch on the circuit board. I've searched for this part too and can't find it. You can buy the whole control panel for $150. The duct tape might last a couple days or a couple years. As long as the plastic holder doesn't become dislodged it should last a long time. Another reason why I hate plastic parts - they break. The only solution before the full unit is replaced is to try and use an instant glue to patch up the pieces with reinforment from within that will make this piece firm.

it could be that or it could be the start button, you can check the button by adding a jumper in the wires that go to it,, this should be done as a check and not left that way,, for safety

If your start button is flashing even when you hit your start button . Your electronic touch control board (ETC) is not working correctly . Either the intergrated curcuit board is not responding or the actuator on touch panel is broken . Push start button in and see if the button makes a clicking noise. If it does replace curcuit board , if it does't replace the part where you touch.

Woke up this morning with a problem with my start button not operating. Took my front panel a part and found a piece of plastic had broken off which completely disabled any chance of the button working correctly. Will have to replace the entire plastic mounting that attaches the buttons to the contacts which operate the electronics. Have no clue where to begin in finding this part. Will probably have to call service and have them obtain and replace the part at considerable cost. To say this plastic part was cheap would be an understatement considering we're talking about a $1000.00 washing machine. Sorry I didn't provide a solution........but hopefully you'll understand I now feel a little better having the opportunity to ***** about my cheaply made expensive washer. Good Luck

No heat may mean that one side of the 240 volt circuit breaker is tripped or one fuse of the 240v circuit at the fuse/breaker box is tripped. Just replace/reset the fuse or breaker which ever you have.
Dryers will have controls working but not heat if it happens to be that particular side of the 240v circuit that tripped or fuse burned.
