SOURCE: Need a cap gasket for a Rowenta DG5030

I showed the part to my husband. He took it to our local Aubuchon Hardware and bought the same size gasket for 59 cents. I just tested it out and my iron works just fine now. The one from the hardware store is black, vs the Rowenta one which is green. Who cares what the color is, no one sees it anyway. However, if you have to send your machine for repair for something else, they may not honor your warranty as you've now added after-market parts. Just thought I mention that. Good luck.

SOURCE: i need to purchase the thermostat/steam generator

I would call a Rowenta service center to find the part and cost. If you are in the US go to the After Sales Service, Service Centers at
http://www.rowentausa.com/rowenta/frame.aspx

If you are outside of the US go to the www.rowenta.com site and select your country.

My Rowenta dg5030 is not producing steam. The iron plate gets hot and the boiler is hot. Just when you depress the steam button, nothing comes out. There is steam in the boiler. Thank you

The small transfer water-line to the steamer section has closed up. This is due to contamination of salts, accumulated calcium or other debris. Its baked on and not easy to remove. All I can tell you is: always use filtered water or distilled water in the NEW IRON that will replace this one.

Steam comes out the filler cap on the water base on my Rowenta DG5030

WIre brush the caps screw threads and replace the O Ring ASAP.
DOn't use the iron until you get a new O ring and they need to be the orange/red rubber ones they are able to withstand the hot steam black o rings at home depot won't last.
