It sounds like low gas pressure. This is controlled by a regulator that needs checking. This is not a recommended DIY project.

SOURCE: Kenmore Gas Range Oven not Working Properly

greg, sounds like your needle valve is not seated. Remove the bottom drawer. Look back to the base of the burner where the shutter air adjustment is. Right under there is the valve which should have a 1/2 inch or 7/16 nut. (I Forgot what size). Turn this nut clockwise until the flame is adjusted to the correct size, should be a nice blue flame. The nut maybe hard to turn because you are seating the needle. Catriver..post back

SOURCE: Oven won't lock and self clean.

Shut off the oven for at least a minute and turn it on, set the clock, and it worked. I had tried a short power cycle before and it didn't fix it. The extended power cycle did the trick.

SOURCE: how to fit a flame failure device to rangemaster 55

the part that you need is the oven ignitor, located nest to the oven burner. that part gets hot to open the gas to the burner, that will make the oven work again.

Whirlpool WFG510S0AS2 range - stove burners work just fine, but both the oven and broiler does not stay lit. NOTE - this unit has been converted from natural gas to LP

when the lp conversion is done , it is normally just a jet size change that is done
however the air shroud has to also be adjusted to get a clean blue burn of the flame
The just jet change results in a slightly yellow flame which is incomplete burn of the gas and that creates carbon build up at the jet and burners causing partial blockage
I would suggest that you call in an accredited gas fitter to check the problem and if necessary , clean the jets and adjust the air shroud

GE Range - oven flames too high after regulator replacement and self clean

You need a Gas tech/plumber there urgently!!!!
If the gas jets in your oven had not been changed to accomodate LP gas then the orifice on your existing jets are still to large in diameter. In other words your using Natural Gas jets ( lower pressure jets) for Lp which has a much higher pressure than Nat. gas, this can be extremely dangerous, & could cause major problems.
Again I strongly suggest you contact a Gas tech/Plumber & do not use your oven until it has beeen checked by a professional.Good luck

Fame to low on my whirlpool stove

You mean the flame is low. You need to clean the burner jet hole orifice and also check if their is a gas pressure regulator which you can adjust the pressure a lithe more higher.

Top burners will noty lite

Hello, this is a strange story.
I had this a few times in the opposite and then I found that it was a LPG cooker in stead of a natural gas cooker.
Did you buy this cooker second hand and did not use it before?
When this cooker is normally natural gas, then the nozzles are much larger then when used for LPG, as the pressure of LPG is much higher as for natural gas.
In that case you can change the nozzles for LPG use
Is this a dual fuel cooker with electric oven?

Kind regards, Dik

Flame goes out on front left burner when turned to low. Potentially filling the house with gas. Is there an adjustment?

Greetings from PNG. I have worked on many gas stoves because there are no experts here. The only screw type adjustments as such will usually only be on the oven control of which there are two adjustments. Apart from the regulator on the gas, there aren't any adjustments for the burners that I have come across. The most likely problem on any burner that does not perform is a blockage in the jet. If you are mechanically minded it is best to remove it to clean it properly but you could first try using a sewing needle or very small drill the same size as the jet to clean it out to see if that may fix it. Around the jet is an adjustment for air, which is usually just a circular metal flange that can be rotated to give a nice blue flame without any yellow. Try this first.

Rangemaster 110 gas cooker - RH Oven lights but doesn't heat up

Will the flame go out if you turn the control knob to the off position?

Sometimes gas cooking control knobs have two seperate types of control in the one knob. One control turn the gas on or off, one adjusts the variable quantity of gas allowed through a gap to your flame jets. Some control knobs can get gummed up and stick a little. The can be fixed by carefully taking apart the control knob, taking note of EXACTLY how everything goes back together and cleaning any gummed up bits. Then reassemble the knob and drizzle soapy water over the control to test for leaks. A leaky gas join blows bubbles and makes noise. Let me know if this fixes the problem.

Changed from natural gas to propane when new oven flames up the side top burners ok

Just bought a Kenmore and did this conversion myself. You do not change the oven nozzle (jets) but have to wrench it down with a 1/2" wrench as per instructions. After I did this the falme was high as you described. I wrenched it down further and adjusted the air shuttle and it was fine. The brioler is done the same. The wrench adjustment is tight so be aware.
