How do i check the firmware version on my Nikon D100 need to find currant firmware version

Your camera's current version is displayed when viewing an image and you have selected the image data display. The latest version is 2.00. If you don't have 2.00 and want it, please see

Have you accidentally turned off "review"? You can also go to "reset" in the menu and try that.

How to display my subject that im shooting on the screen i have a nikon d100

The D100 does not have a Live View capability. The screen can be used for menus and image reviews, not previews.

Nikon D100 shows # of pictrues left - on the display -

This is normal. Page 17 of the D100 manual says when the main battery is inserted the display will show the number of exposures remaining. If no CF card is inserted it will show E.

D100 showing double images

I had the same issue and was directed to page 87 of owners manual. Chances are good that you have white balance bracketing on. This produces two images and can be turned off with the bracket(BKT) button and or CSM menu F11 WB Bracketing.

D100 overall yellowish colors poor image quality

White balance has a lot to do with image results. You need to set it for your subject shooting conditions

Nikon d1oo take pics no images

I have this problem on occasion, if I understand your problem correctly.  Sometimes, it appears that the images I know are on the card simply are not there when I try to download them.  To save "lost" images, I use CardRaider, but there are many others you might try.

D 100 total fram count

This information is saved in the EXIF data saved out with each image, but the only software I know of that can show it is libexif that runs on unix. Oddly enough, when I upload my jpeg images to flickr, it shows up in the exif information shown in "more properties", so it is indeed in there.
