The focus is very poor. Repeated pushing shutter

I believe you must had experienced this in Auto mode. This can happen when camera is too close to the object or coz of other problems. Didn't you try manual modes like AV or TV modes ?

I cannot succeed to focus my lc6231 philips projector

Two possibilities:

1. projector probably too close to the screen
or
2. The focus ring at the end of the lens must be manually turned (hard to find if you don't know it's there).

Poor pictre quality

This set has 3 CRT's (picture tubes)
Remove the back bottom cover
Clean the CRT's with windex and a soft cloth.
(Find the Screen/Focus block)----Remove front grill cover and panel which covers the Screen/focus block.
Cover 2 crt's and adjust the focus control for remaining crt---(using the convergence pattern in the menu for the set)
adjust for the best focus.
cover that crt and move on to the next crt using the same procedure.
After setting the focus on all 3 tube's you will have the best focus possible for this set. If picture is still bad, you have bad crt's and the set is junk.
Cost to replace the CRT's is enormous!

More info for poor focus problem

I don't know about any misaligned focus feature on the D80. Have you checked to see what focusing mode you are using, ie. single auto focus, closest subject, or wide area focus. Closest subject can really throw off your focus. I would switch to single auto focus mode. Another reason for poor focus would be dust on the auto focus sensor which is located under the mirror box.

Check on the focus mode, if it's not a mechanical problem, I'd be willing to bet that's what it is.
