Re: memory stick for sony cyber-shot
You might try cleaning it with alcohol.
If that doesn't work you'll have to insert the card into a pc and use some kind of data recovery software to do that. I would recommend R-Studio or Get Data Back. Unless you know someone that could do it for you.

The sony cyber-Shot Dsc F828 does not work well with memory stick that are more than 2gb. I have used 4gb memory stick, but realised that it failed to record most of my photos. Other are recorded but hard to extract. I would recomed 1gb stick. Keep more than one
Please clean the gold contacts of your memory card.Take any lead pencil. Take the eraser and rub it on the gold contacts
on the memory stick as if you are erasing writing on paper. Do this for
about 30 seconds or more until you get all the gold contacts. Put the
stick in the camera, switch to 'Setup', then turn the camera on. The
'C:13:01' error will automatically disappear. At this point, quickly
format the memory stick using the camera's format feature.NOTE: Al;ways use the camera's built in function to format your memory card.Do not use the computer to format the memory card.
If you still face any problems then you will have to get it repaired.
take the stick to wallmart or a place withe fancy digital camera printouts..and try it there. if it works your camera has might need to clean out the mem slot....I would use a elecrtonic greaseless pure wash from ....radio shack might have it...and spray hard into slot the camera upside down so it drains right out...if still problem get a bright light and amd look into the mem slot (reading glasses)....look at the gold pins...notice if gunk or or anything or bent...if bent u have to very caryfully use fine tools to straigten them.
