Jitterbugs are lunker lures under bridges on rivers. The big ones know that fledglings fall in from time to time and make big meals! These fallins have accounted for a lot of great action on my line!

I agree- Jitterbugs work well, especially at night. Use a black Jitterbug, reel it in a yard or 2, then let it sit for a little bit. Continue the process. Bass are like cats- they like the noise, and become very interested when the bait stops then goes again...

I have no control of bass or treble on my yamaha rx-v992, is this a settings issue or something else?

Maybe bass and treble settings OR the volume control IC has gone bad. Basically, all analog signals processed by DAC fed from DSP will enter this IC for bass and treble control. If it is bad, no bass and treble control can get. You should bear in mind that the setting of bass and treble is good before checking the volume control IC.

How do I rewire the pots on my LTD AX-141 4 String bass guitar. Someone has messed up the wiring thank you

There are two sites I go to for most of my guitar/amp needs. Youtube and the second is StewMac.com and look in the Trade Secrets and How to section. It may not be the exact guitar/bass but it's a real good jumping off point.
I just opened a youtube site and searched "how to rewire a bass guitar" and received 8690 how-to videos.
Good luck on this project.

I have a pair of linn komponent 104 speakers i was wondering if i can add a sub woofer to my amp to give the sound more bass as the speakers dont have a good bass sound

The Linn's should have a good bass, clean & tight but not boomy. Have you got them correctly phased? Red-to-red, Black-to-black? Bass is killed if one speaker is anti-phased.

I just connected two sets of 901'a to Sansui G901 receiver. The sound is TINNY no bass at all. I've tried different connections and nothing seems to work. I've used two different EQ from bosse series

Either there is NO bass on the recordings (if you listen to it with headphones does it have bass?) ...OR...you've wired them out of phase. Connect only one(1) Bose 901's to just one side. Is there bass? Then connect the other side. IS there bass? If not reverse the phase (+ /- connections) and see if the bass comes back. Once that is done and there is BASS, then add the 3rd and then the 4th speaker. .Are you sure your Sansui can handle a lower than 4 ohm load???

What is wrong? my active bass whether i put a new battery in or not sounds passive no change whatsoever. quite a bit of the low end is severely missing. Schecter STARGAZER 5 bass.

That bass combines passive EMG pickups with an active preamp (which provides the bass and treble controls). Sounds like you are never getting the preamp to work, and if that is the case there could be numerous reasons...a dead battery...jack wiring that is broken (meaning the battery ground wire is not attached or is grounding out)...likely should see a tech, but that is a good sounding bass when working correctly.

Buzzing noise z4 logitech speakers

Hi Haley,
I also enjoy good Music and excellent sound from my speakers that i have and know what you going through. There is two problems that i see here. One is that your bass speakers is dying on you from the excess bass that has been exerted throught it or have you tried lowering the adjusting bass from the contol panel?
Try adjusting the bass and if that doesnt work aleast you've identified your problem.
Thanks Haley for using Fixya.Good Luck.

Is the bass boost the gain or frequency knob?

Bass boost simply adds DB or gain to the bass signal. Some like it, some dont.
The frequency knob is the Low Pass Filter (LPF) that cuts off the amp output above
the set frequency. A bass system usually cuts off below 400 HZ and more often 200HZ.
A good, rattle your car bass note is in the 25-80HZ range or lower but most amps and audio
input devices cant attain a good low note with clarity.
"Low-pass filter allows only frequencies below the crossover point to be amplified. A high-pass filter allows only frequencies above the crossover point to be amplified - useful for keeping low bass away from small speakers, so they can play more efficiently."

Bass

greetings. Unless the unit has a bass volume control on the sub itself the only way to lower the bass settings is through the built in eq and or dsgx settings (similar to a bass boost)
