Can i trip out 160 stat to check operation of machine

+ settings go to finish and beep.. 20 min cool and warm machine runs and runs. I have just brought home a T230c Tumble dryer no longer required by customer and donated to my cause! I have given it a realy good clean all air ways and filters are now spotless. A previous plumber had taken away 160 stat to be replaced so is not present in the machine but before i order i want to check the machine for any other faults. 20min cool and warm the machine runs and runs + settings the machine goes to finish and beeps. with the machine empty.. Can i short out the 160 stat to check operation

Check the dryer vent to see if it is free and clear.

Honeywell thermostatTemp set at 73 turning off and back on the 'cool on'flashes. After about five minutes it stays solid. the temperature drops from 84 to 81shuts down and the cool on flashing again.
Possibly have a backed up drain that is draining very slowly. Machine runs, produces enough water to trip the float switch, then turns off. Drain drains slowly, enough to clear the float switch, process starts all over. Check PVC at air handler for a piece with 2 wires connected. Remove the top and see if there is any signs of water. NEVER LEAVE SWITCH OUT. You must clear the drain. If no water, turn system to off and fan to on. Let machine run like this for a while and see if any "shut downs." If still a problem you either have a loose wiring connection or bad stat. If no problems with fan only, problem likely outside. Good Luck!!

On short trips...less than 20-30 mins, the bike runs great....on longer trips the bike will start running rough and quit...after sitting for a few minutes it starts and runs great again
Sounds like a fuel line collapsing once the bike heats up.

What could cause this?
Hi, It's almost certainly your thermostat not closing, and letting coolant flow round the system while it is still cold. It should close until the motor warms up and then open when cooling is required. Depending on your motor, a new one won't be very expensive and is a simple job to replace.

Stat issues with GE Zoneline
Your coils on the outside unit may need cleaning.When they get dirty, air cannot flow through them to remove heat from the refrigerant. When this happens pressure increases until it trips a safety and shuts the unit down.
It won't run again until the pressure drops to a safe level. Also check your drain line..Make sure it's dripping.If not it's clogged and that will trip the safety switch not allowing water to back up

If the thermostat is not working the engine will not warm up. So the temp gauge should show cold after running the engine for 10 or 15 min.
If the engine is warming up but the heater hoses are not warm, you could have air in the cooling system.

Ac set at 74 room temp up to 78 and no Ac kicking on.
it could be the thermostat is loose on the subbase or if you went from OFF to COOL and the stat is a digital stat It will not come on for five min. This is a delay set by the manufacture to protect the compressor. during normal operation you will not notice because thier will be more than 5 min from the time it shuts of till it need to come back on but if the system switch is set to off and you switch to cool or unit just shut off it will always delay 5min. usualy there will be some insdiction on the screen that it is in delay like a flashing COOL or SNOW FLAKE or the word WAIT. the unit will not be running until the flashing words go solid

Responce for clarification
You'll only see good circulation when it's at operating temperature & hot enough for thermostat to open, allowing coolant to flow through the system. Hope you had heater on (not defrost) while you were letting it run/circulate. I usually wait for rad fan to come on 2 or 3 times, before I put cap back on. Rad fan comes on to cool what just came out of engine when thermostat opened, so when you see good flow, you'll probably see fan come on shortly after.
