you can always backup those movies you want to your computer using a software like nero from majorgeeks.com and use this. for you to have a fresh start, reformat the cam afterwards and look for a latest fiemware update.

hope this helps.

Hi, please help me! i have a JVC HD everio purchased 6 months ago, and i cannot for the life of me figure out how to put my footage onto DVD, or computer then DVD, without taking it to a camera place and...

Your camera has a removable SD card in it to record your video. If your computer has a card reader built in the you simply insert the SD card from the camera to the reader and transfer the files to your PC. If your PC doesn't have a reader, they can be purchased on line or Walmart or any camera supply store for anywhere from 3 to 6 or more dollars.

No disc for my JVC Everio GZ-HD7U

You don't need the disc. Buy Corel's latest videostudio x2 for editing. To extract the video files from camera just plug into computer with USB cable and search the camera for files.

Can't transfer videos from JVC Everio camcorder onto my MAC

Share: How to import .tod files from JVC Everio HDD Camcorder to iMovie?

Requirements: iMovie (Part of the iLife 08 package)

Step 1: Connect the Everio to the Mac (Via USB)
Make sure you are powering the Everio from the mains before connecting your JVC Everio Camcorder.

Step 2: Playback on PC
Select “Playback on PC” on the Everio, once connected you will see the Everio HDD symbol appear on the desktop. The video files on the Everio are stored in the SD Folder/PRG***/MOV***.MOD.

Step 3: Open iMovie
Once you open iMovie, you will see that it recognizes the Everio straight away and will attempt to import your video.

You are now ready to use iMovie to edit your video files.

If need change .tod files to common video formats like mov, mp4, m4v, mpg, mpeg, dv, flv, avi, wmv, 3gp, mkv, mp3, aac, wma, m4a, etc. Mod Tod Video Converter for Mac is a good choice. The program can also convert mod tod to ipod, mod tod to iphone, tod to apple tv, tod to blackberry and more devices!

JVC EVERIO gz-mg330 does not appear as drive

Another solution is to make sure you are using the usb cable that came with the camera. For some reason, if I use any other, the computer won't recognize the camera. It's the one with the magnet. In fact, mine has two magnets on it.

Software for JVC Digital Camcorder

There website isn't much help for software. I found this at the bottome of their of support page:

http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/english/download/vc31_vp20/index.html

Typically use should only need a USB cable and a video capture program such as Pinnacle Studio to get it to work. Once Studio is installed you plug your camera into the USB port and turn it on. Studio will recognize it.
