CM1936 Doesn't turn on. Battery is charged and load tested so I suspect it's the switch.

Battery charged click engine does not turn over

Hello Dholton,

A battery could show 12.6 volts under no load but as soon as you place a load on a BAD battery the output voltage will drop.

Have your battery load tested (a carbon pile tester simulates a load based upon your batteries CCA rating)

I suspect you have a bad battery.

I have a 2000 pontiac bonneville and i disconnected battery to charge it and when i reconnected it the car wouldnt start. All the dashlights come on but when you turn the key to start it it goes dead

have the battery load tested. I suspect it is old and worn out. Charge battery again, take it to an auto parts store and have it tested(some do it for little or no fee).

Just because you charged the battery doesn't mean it is any good. Have it load tested bet it is not good.

Hi, well all I can suggest is to replace the battery, clean the contacts etc, and see if that helps? However it may indeed be that you have a faulty power supply internally? usually a bad interconnect diode/switcher, this will give the symptoms you describe too, I see this type of thing often in my shop.. If you cannot sort it with a replacement battery then you will simply have to have the unit repaired, to this end approach a Samsung head or local office and ask for a referral to an authorised phone repair service center, then when there and in face to face contact then ONLY ask for a "Quote" as to how much it may cost to repair and go from there, this way at least you can decide as to repair or replace?

My impact driver doesn't ingage acts like low battery but have charged them,will screw in a screw and then stop instead of going into the impact mode

Likely to be weak battery due to end of life. Test battery voltage with meter right after charge , then again after use then stop. If voltage changes /drops, battery is worn out. If battery has full charge, check the condition of the battery contacts within the driver. Pull out the battery and look inside. The contacts should look bright and shiney. If dark, may need to replace them, but suspect that the switch is also bad. Good luck.

I turn the key and the lights come on, but when i go to start it dosent do anything. when i hit the brake i here clicking behide the drive selector

Try jump starting. Lights take alot less power than starter. I suspect you battery is in need of replacement. If it starts with a jump, stop by your local parts store Autozone, Advance, etc.. and have them do a FREE charging system test and LOAD test your battery. They do this for FREE.
The clicking when applying brakes is normal, it's your brake light switch

I'd still suspect the battery. I'd take the battery out and take it to an automotive parts house. Ask them to do a "load test" on the battery. If the battery checks good, then suspect the switch. You're 1990 model still uses the old mechanical switch. You may just have a bad set of contacts. If so, you can move the wires to another contact and it should solve your problem, just make sure the contact in connected when it's supposed to be and disconnected when it supposed to be.

Wont start ,no turn over ,just lights and horn

I would suspect a bad battery. I'd take the battery out and take it to an automotive parts store. Ask them to "load test" the battery for you. If you don't have a parts store that will do this for you, charge your battery fully. Then put a volt meter across the battery terminals, red meter lead to positive, black meter lead to negative. The function switch of the meter should be in DC Volts, 25 volt or greater range. The meter should read about 12.8-13.2 volts on a fully charged battery. Now turn on the ignition switch and press the start button. If the battery voltage drops below 10 volts, the battery is bad.

My battery does not hold more than 3-4 months what

i would suspect the alternator is not charging at its rated output or only charging sometimes, have your favorite mechanic load test the alternator to see if it charges properly
