If the red haze is not convergence---that requires parts.
The set has three picture tubes---with set unplugged and back cover removed clean the three large lens that are topside---as for the red haze a quick way to know what is wrong is with set on turn the color to zero----what color is the screen? Should be black and white--if red to some degree tracking or screen controls may need adjusting inside the set---Yellow picture in that situation is a different issue.
Tv pictures and screen brightness are dulls and have a halo glow to it wright?Yes.The tv CRTS TUBES guns have a chemical call CRTS TUBES coolants are contaminated require changing.Tries websites like Tvrepairworld.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a chemical coolant kit to replace it.Kit also came with a tutoring DVD disc showing u how to replace the CRTS TUBES guns coolant chemical.

Sometimes this can be caused by excessive dust buildup on the lens over the red picture tube, and if you have access to that part of the set, that is where I would start. If it is clean, then you could have the red tube out of focus either due to a bad focus block or if you were lucky, a minor adjustment may fix it. If the set was over 8 years old, I'd consider replacing it with a HDTV model. Check out Consumer Reports latest issue for a start.
Your missing the red drive on the set. Its most likly the picture tube. Its a possibility that the red drive circuit could be not working so the best thing to do is take off the gree picture tube socket and put the green board on the red tube. Of course do all this when the set is unplugged. if you have no tv experience. its not a good idea to be messing around inside of these sets.
