SOURCE: Just installed refilled black ink cartridge on hp

By using refilled cartridges you will always have this problem. Each cartridge has a chip that lets the printer know when it is full or empty. By pressing the ok button you may be able to clear this message. However, most of the time you can still be able to print and ignore the message.

HPD4260 unable to check ink levels via printer services

Hi there,

There are 2 ways to fix this.

First one is simple, While the printer is powered on, Disconnect the power cord from the back of printer and wait for 30 seconds and reconnect. You should find the ink level shown when you print.

Second step is is Uninstall the software from software disk re-install again.

Apart from these 2, there is no alternate way to check ink level on Deskjet printers

I have a HP Deskjet D4260 and when i print something using HP Deskjet D4200 series its black and white. I need the pictures to be in color

U must be using HP74, 75 cartridge for your printer.

There are few reasons you are getting black and white (gray)...for printing job.

1. No color ink.
- If you are out of color ink.. that's what it happens.
- check your ink level through control panel.

2. Printer set up. (I think this is pretty much the reason you are not getting color)
- First, check your printer setting.
If they are on gray scale mode, pls chang to color.
How? when you click the print (through file manu), there are option for control panel on your screen. Click that option and will see some detail option you can choose from size, print quality.
Among the print quality option, pls choose, color mode instead of gray mode. That's it.

If you would like to save money, try refill kit by "ROADINK".
Not only they are easy, but also the printing quality is good.
For your better understanding pls check out my youtube video.
And will see how easy ink refill can be done.

I am having trouble with an HP Deskjet D4260 printer. The printer has full ink cartridges and paper, none of the problem lights flash. When I print something, it prints, and the cartridges move back and...

Are you using HP's genuine cartridge and paper? Both have been designed together to work, maximizing the ink flow for efficiency and reliability. If you use a third party paper or ink, you will have a problem 50% of the time. Sometime you'll get lucky. HP recommends you use the genuine stuff, not just because they want your business, but because they want your printer to work.

Hi , my printer hp deskjet d4260 does not print. There is ink and paper in the printer but whenever i try to print something it doesnt work. When i did chang the ink it still printed the paper for...

1. goto control panel -> printers.
2. delete the unnecessary printers including your D4260.
3. Use the driver cd which came along with your printer and reinstall all the software and drivers again.
4. Now you should be able to print without any problem because in this way all the driver conflict or corrupt printer files will be fixed.

I hope this is helpful to you
thanks

The ink droplet is flashing orange, and the up arrow is also flashing orange. It pulls the paper to load, but it won't print.

Remove both in cartridges
Unplug printer
Wait at least 2 minutes
Plug the printer back into the outlet
Wait until printer stop
Reinstall both ink cartridges
If the ink droplet is still flashing, that will indicated a bad cartridge

My HP Deskjet D4260 printer has been unused for 2 years. I have been told it would be useless to replace dried cartridges, because the inkjets themselves are probably clogged, and therefore the printer is...

That is absolutely not true. The printer you have uses integrated print head cartridges. This means every time you replace the ink cartridges you are replacing the print heads. Throw out the dried up ink cartridges and buy new ones. Your printer takes the HP 74 black and HP 75 color cartridges. There are XL versions of these cartridges that hold more ink and are a better value.

hey make sure that you still have a blank ink on your printer, then try to open your printer settings and look for the black and white print, or when printing try to make it greyscale while on a print window.
