The spark module on a GE Profile C2S985SET7SS front panel dual fuel stove is typically located behind the control panel or near the burner controls. Funniest thing. I was having the very same problem on Monday. Every time I laid the glass touch panel down on the stove, it stopped working but worked when I held it up. After failing to install the panel so it would work for 30 minutes, I walked away from it and ate dinner. Coming back later, I decided my problem was the connections on the back side were coming into contact with the metal so I placed a tightening knob in the center of each of the outside holes making sure the underside of the knob went exactly into the middle of the hole. I then lowered the left side of the panel down to where the threads started and very carefully partially tightened the left knob so none of the panel back touched the stove. I then lowered the right side until the knob touched the knob and tightened that side finger tight. I keep testing the buttons to make sure they were still working. When the out side knobs were finger tight, I finger tightened the 2 inside knobs. Success. My oven is now working.

The best bet is STOVES for a replacement - if they have one. It is relatively straightforward to replace. With all the buttons and knobs removed, there should be two screws underneath the panel , i.e. pointing upwards at either end of the panel,. The panel will also have two lugs along the top edge that locate into the top off the oven. The panels lugs should be first located into the oven before the screws are inserted. It may be a bit of a struggle but can be done.

It means the keypad detects an electrical short. It's the equivalent of holding your finger to a number button for more than 40 seconds. It will cause an error. You have to remove/clean/repair whatever is causing the short. Try cleaning the front keypad with isopropyl alcohol. If it doesn't work, remove the front panel with a 1/4" socket wrench and T15 torx screw driver. Remove the LED/clock board with philips driver. Then clean the entire back of the keypad panel with ispropyl alcohol. Allow the alcohol to dry completely or use a hair dryer to dry the alcohol completely before plugging in stove again. I did this with my stove and it fixed the problem.

I haven't done it, but I would imagine you would have to remove the entire oven from its housing to take the top off and then remove the front glass front control panel. ( The glass panel can be removed without taking the oven out).
The buttons on this panel are all push on/off. There are two screws located on the lower edge of the panel at either end of the panel. They point upwards. Once these screws are removed, the panel will be loose, but held in place with (3) lugs on the inside of the upper edge of the panel. Basically you have to jiggle the panel around, moving the lower edge out to overcome the lugs. Once the panel is off you will see the inner workings of the oven.

The stove top still works but the oven, warming drawer, clock are all non responsive after three days. No buttons on the control panel work at all. What repair is needed?

To take off the front button panel.
First power off the cooker, then remove the three right control knobs - they are just push on and push off. There are flats on the spindles matching contours on the knobs to ensure thay go back correctly.
Lower the top oven/grill front. Under the front button panel there are three screws going upwards. One at each end and one in the middle. Remembering how they are installed, remove them. The panel will now be loose but it is held in postion by two or three lugs which are along the top inside edge of the panel. They, from what I remember, hook into the inner panels of the cooker. I think you have to lift the lower edge of the panel towards you, to overcome the upward bend of the lugs.
The buttons for the clock are purely push fit and if you want they can be removed using a thin bladed knife.
I have to say that if you want complete access to the clock, I think you will have to take out the complete oven from the unit and take the top off, so be warned. Instructions of how the cooker is mounted are in the instruction manual.
Putting the front panel back I found to be fiddily - ensuring the lugs are located correctly, especially the one by the clock doesn't always want to work. In the end I left that one not positioned correctly, so in effect the front panel is slightly out at the left hand end.

i had the same problem with mine.. i overboiled some water and it leaked down the front onto my panel (inside).. i had to replace the whole thing.. (i did it so i added a silicone bead inside so water cannot get to that same panel area)..

3 years and it still works..
