I have a Polaroid FLM-3232, when I turn the TV on the blue light comes on then the Polaroid flashes on the screen, I have sound but no picture. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks
No smoke or any type of smell from mine. When I power the TV up Polaroid flashes on the screen then the sound kicks in and no picture. The screen is black, I remember it might of had a black glow then the picture would come on. Picture Tube? Would Polaroid flash on the screen if that was broken? How could I test that to see if that was the problem?

I was messing around with the TV, when I plug it in and turn it on, Polaroid flashes on the screen and I unplug the control board from the TV and plug it back in a blue screen and no signal is displayed(in upper right hand corner) for a second then a blank screen. It can be the main board or the power supply,
look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague Please post back what you find

I work in an electronics store and I've come across this problem before. The only solution that has ever worked for the people who call in or come to see us is pretty simple. You need to unplug your PC from the TV (if you haven't already done so), turn the TV on by using the "channel +" button. Some TV's when turned off at the wall will not turn back on again unless you press the channel + button. Give it a go and see what happens. Let me know if you need more help.
Also, it sounds like your laptop may not have been supported due to the wrong resolution being outputted through your VGA connection. When you get your TV turned on again I'll see if I can help you get them to work together,
