I didn't set date and time correctly on initial start up. I am now unable to change the date or time in the tools menu. I've tried resetting all the defaults but am still unable to change date or time.

Re: Can't change date or time on my new Pentax K2000
Date/time are set at "first use" or through the tools menu. Remove the batteries. Leave the camera overnight, this may be enough to lose the current settings and allow setting new date/time.
Press Menu button. Press right arrow on the 4-way controller to get the Tools (spanner) highlighted. Press down arrow to get to date (or time). Press right arrow Now set to your preferred format.
If this does not work, try changing another item in the Tools menu. If that change is not accepted, then it's into the dealer.

Hope you read this message. I just noticed your message today on this site. I bought an Elonex 705EB for my mum and had the same problem. It's not pressing the select key that changes the time. You must correct the time then press Menu button on yes (I had to press twice in row before it worked). I don't know why it works different from the manual. I found this out through a lot of trial and error!
go to initial setup > time and date. enable auto-update for the time. and change it to your correct time zone if u have to under this same menu.
(your first option "initial" may be phone setup, or setup depending on the current flex version on your phone so don't be afraid to surf around a little in the settings tell u find the "date and time" option.
you must first disable Autoupdate (turn it off) - go to settings>scroll to Initial Setup, (select this)>Time & Date (select this)>Autoupdate (set to OFF)>after you do this option will appear to change time to 12/24 hour....
1/Verify the date and local time (this should be the date and time according to the local date and time of country/area you are in). Because the time shows is Universal Time (UTC), you will need to enter a time offset to display the correct local time for your area. 2/Move the field highlight to the OFFSET field and press Enter 3/With the arrows (←→), go to the figure which represents the hours then with the up & down arrows (↑↓), select the time offset for your longitude and press . 4/Move the field highlight to the HOURS field and change to 24 if that is not already the case. 5. Press QUIT , to return to the MENU Page, then select Navigation Setup “NAV SETUP” with the Up & Down arrows (↑↓) then press ENTER
Change the Scart setting (in the setup menu) from the default setting (RGB) to the other available setting (CVSC?).
I have a problem with my box restting the clock on a random basis, making it impossible to set a timer to record anything - let us know if you get the same problem via this site!
