i want to use my sony cybershot dsc w180 as webcam. i got the required cables to connect the video outlet to my computer but it is not recognising the device please help
Yes you can use DCS-S700 sony cybershot as a webcam but you must first have the TV tuner card that accepts AV input from an RCA cable (red, yellow and white wire) which is free when you buy the camera (included in the BOX). Sets your TV tuning software (I've used "honestech" software) to receive Composite Input. After setting, close the TV tuning software. Then sets your messenger or any net conferencing software to accept the TV tuner card as your webcam.Yurika!!! It works for me and the videos are very clear. Except only that the focus box of the camera don't disappear. Even I've used it to document my birthday party from morning to afternoon recording the video directly to my computer without any problem.
