How do I reset my stock radio/cd? I have listened to burned CD's before but one...

I will explain this better! Turn off the radio and turn the key to the on position. Press and hold DISP knob, when info comes on window press the seek arrow in tell you find what you need to reset. press the #1 button and it will beep. go back to the seek arrow and find exit. press the DISP knob again and you are done.

Just install a Pioneer with the correct harness. You will be money ahead if you let a reputable car audio shop do it. (warranty) The Delco unit is junk.

I have 1997 Chevy Blazer with a a Delco AM/FM/CD player with theft lock. The radio plays but the CD player codes ERR, then ejects the CD. Is this a theft lock problem...I bought the truck used and there is...

The err message has nothing th do with theft lock. More than likely the laser assembly is bad. You are probably better off replacing the deck with an aftermarket one.

The best bet is to take it to the dealer. This can cause you problems trying to solve yourself.

You will need to have the radio reset or checked out at the dealer.Ther could be a cd stuck in it.Or the radio/CD player may have be on when the battery power got to low.

For that price buy a after market from best buy or look on ebay for one that someone upgrated you might be able to find out what other style of cars or truck they put them in.

Hatch won't open on 2004 Malibu Maxx

Try pushing the trunk release and turning the key in the lock at the same time.
It sounds like the electric lock has not released for what ever reason.
You should hear the trunk release relay when you push the remote.

Locks unlock and lock over and over running down the battries

you have a wire shorting to ground (in doors?), or water in door lock connector in door, or a bad module.

The only thing that is left for you to do is to remove the stereo and then disassemble it and remove it yourself. A little daunting but needs to be done. Sounds like it went in wrong and then became jammed

You will have to have the radio programmed to the vehicle (they have to do a service program to store the VIN in the new radio and configure the features to your vehicle..) it is a security feature. plus the 04 malibu maxx uses the GM LAN data com. and your radio is also your driver's information center.
