Yamaha DSR2000: It plays fine for a while, and then the display fades and there is an enormous squeal until turned off and plugged in again.

I would normally suggest a power supply issue. Does the display flicker if you move the power plug, if so this is a common fault, replace socket.
If it is not power related then as it works, charges up, squeal then suggests possibly a capacitor charging up and discharging.

Indicators, horn and lights don't work yet I have high beam

I am restoring a 1982 Yamaha Virago 750. The OEM horns were shot so I replaced them with standard 12 automotive horns. The problem is that when I push tht horn button with both horns connected, the system won't deliver enough power to run them. However if I disconnect either horn, the other one will work. It seems like the system can't deliver enough current for one. If I connect the two horns direct to the battery they work jsut fine. Is this an electrical system problem (diode, regulator, horn switch, bad ground?) or should I rewire with an aftermarket relay for the horns?

Yamaha DVX-S120 On Screen Menu - Phillips brand

The same happened to me! DVD's play fine but on screen menu just changed and Video Output option is gone! Also de Philips logo on screen which I suspect is placed there by my TV (which is a Philips one) and as it does no longer receive the background screen from the DVX it just puts its own. Is your TV Philips like mine?
