Can not find the WIFI password. Where is it written?

My projector is brand new and it came with IFU-WLM3 (USB wireless). When pluged in the projector, it creates a network VPL2F89AC, but I've checked all papers and boxes, and there is no password printed! The network is looking for one, in order to connect the laptop with the projector. I've installed the required software, but the problem remains.

Hi, I'm sure you don't have this issue anymore, but I currently do. If anyone in the last nine years have figured out how to solve this problem, I would greatly appreciate an answer. :)

SOURCE: Wireless Connection Keeps Dropping

Hi,

Some generic solutions for WiFi dropping out may include:
1. Use of static IP addresses for the clients (in your case the 2 Sony VPL-CX86s) rather than auto obtain;
2. Disable the WEP/WPA security;
3. Set MAC filter in your router and include MAC addresses of the 2 projectors;
4. Try raising the height/position of the router; and/or
5. use an aftermarket high gain antenna for the router.

As a reminder, WiFi works by line of sight (LOS), anything in between will reduce signal strength/coverage and that include people around/near the projector unknowingly blocking the router.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: camcorder connection to pc computer

You can installl "Windows Movie maker" this software imports videos from camera connected through USB cable provided with ur cam. if asks for sony USB driver search it on Internet or ask 'sony dealer'.
this software is very easy to use and access the camera easily in compare to DV interface of sony... u'l have to compromise on quality.

SOURCE: Wireless Network stopped detecting ALL local networks

Hi, Have you installed the driver for your wireless card since you re-formatted?

Right click on my computer and go to properties, select device manager. all of your hardware will be listed there. are there any yellow question marks? these are devices that need drivers.

Your wifi card will probably be called 'network adapter'. go to the sony vaio website and download the right driver for your wifi card

SOURCE: Recently bought a Sony Vaio

Can you try the laptop somewhere else? Try Mcdonalds or Starbucks, work, school, etc. Does it see the connection there? Does it connect ok there. Break your troubleshooting it into small steps. If it works else where then something is set wrong in your wireless at home. If it doesn't work else where then keep troubleshooting the laptop itself. When your watching the SSID show up then disappear are all wireless SSID also doing the same. Can you see neighbor and just watch if they drop in and out? Can you confirm your router is the same network speed. B,G or N. Make sure its a on a speed the laptop can do. Can you change your router and disable the security for a little while and see if that effects how the laptop connects. IF it works without security then check your security settings, Maybe the router is set to an old or newer type if security, Try different one's if it works correctly with security off. Can you login into your router and look at the logs its recording. Maybe there's a clue in it. Re-confirm the gateway and subnet are correct. I don't know if your XP, vista or 7, but open a command window or Dos prompt and type "ipconfig /a" It will list all the network information. Also type "ipconfig ?" For a list of options to use with the command. You may need to a release or renew the connection.

I have no idea what my Wi-Fi password is, so can't activate the Kindle. This is my 4th Kindle; I bought the others with no help, but have no record of Wi-fi password.

The wifi password is the password installed in the router that allows any and all wireless devices to connect to your wireless network. Unless this Kindle is the only wireless device you have, then you probably know the password, since it was used on all the other devices as well. Even if you don't know it, you may have it. If the router was from the ISP, and you didn't change anything, the wifi password may be written on the base of the router. If you DID change the password and forgot it, as long as you can access the router setup,. you can go in and create a new wifi password.

My printer is not working with my desk top are my lap top computer.

A wireless printer needs the WiFi password just like any other WiFi device such as Laptop or iPhone. The WiFi password or key is usually written on the underside of the router. If the printer as a little screen then you can take it to setup mode and select the WiFi signal and enter the WiFi key. After that your computer can seek the printer. You may want to run the install software again.

A different way to do it is run the install software on the PC with the USB connected between the printer and the PC. Follow the on screen instructions, similar to above and once done you can run the printer wirelessly.

I dont know how to get the password to my wifi, where do i find it?

The wireless SSID and security key is normally written on a label on the wireless router device provided this has not been changed when the device was installed. . .If the security key or SSID (network identifier) have been changed, then you would need to access the wireless router administration web page in order to find out what the new settings are. . . You would then also need to know what the user name and password for the router is - which may also be printed on the label on the router.

I can't connect my itouch to my wifi. It asks for a password for my wifi. I don't know the password for my wifi.

For some 2wire device you will find the wireless password underneath it its commonly a combination of 10 digit there should be a sticker on the 2wire and look for that 10 digit code if you cannot find it there contact your Internet Provider so the can provide you that wireless key.......

My wireless has gone capoot.

Most desktop computers are not by default wifi capable (barring a few models that include an internal USB wifi adapter in the case.) If you have added wifi to the unit by installing an internal PCI-Card Wifi adapter or plugged in a USB Wifi adapter into one of your USB ports then that capability will be added. As far as a Keyboard command to activate the Wifi, that is usually dependent on the Computer and/or the brand and model of the adapter installed. What brand of Computer and model are you having problems with? If the Wifi was added after it was purchased, what brand and model of adapter are you using?

Emachine model T3302 desktop ethernet question

Hi,

The "Realtek RTL 8139/810X family fast Ethernet NIC card" is a wired networking device. What you need is a WiFi Networking which can either be a PCI card (you need to open the PC and physically mount it inside) or perhaps the easiest, is to get a USB WiFi. There are so many brands, models and versions available and just about any would work. You need to verify though that the USB WiFi is compatible with your daughter PC's operating System (XP or Vista). Some known good brands are LinSys, DLink, NetGear. Some models/versions are simple gadgets that they look like a thumb/flash drive while others have a USB cable with a tabletop mount/rack/cradle.

Such can be bought from any computer shoppe/store. Most models come with an instruction/installer/driver CD that you need to run first before plugging in the WiFi USB.

If you already have an existing DSL account that connects to the Realtek, you would also need to get a Wireless AP/Router. It would probably be easier if you get a match pair (same brand)

If this is a completely new DSL WiFi setup, you need to get in touch with any WiFi Provider in your area. Most would provide a free USB WiFi Adapter if you subscribe to them so there would be no need to buy the USB WiFi adapter nor the Wireless AP/Router.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turn out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
