SOURCE: neff oven door (U1661)
The door is v heavy and the hinges being right at the bottom take a lot of strain, especially when the door is in 'half open' position. Once the springs start to wear the hinges are no longer strong enough to hold the top of the door firmly closed. Our U1661 is 8 years old and we've had the hinges replaced twice under extended warranty. The second time the hinges they supplied don't hold the door in this position and it will just drop straight down if you don't support it while you open it.
SOURCE: Neff faulty Fan
Hi.
I would not think that both fan and element are faulty, although it is possible.
if it has a timer make sure that it is on manual and not on auto, as this would stop the oven working.
Other possible fault is faulty main oven selector switch.
Hope this helps. Please do not for get feedback .
Thanks.
SOURCE: Neff Oven Door Removed Incorrectly
you need to lock the hinges to get the door back.
it needs some strength
lay door flat on floor
force hinge against the spring until right back and put the locking arm over. i use my feet for this!
SOURCE: oven will not get hot
you will need to replace main oven element it will have burnt out and gone open circuit just like a light bulb, they are easy to change and not expensive.
hope this helps
