Any #2 MT wood spur will work. Try Woodcraft, Pennstate, or any wood turning supply house. Alsp MSC.

Is the chuck a know off or threaded chuck. where should i buy a replacement and what should I ask for.

It almost certainly has a #2MT (#2 Morse Taper) drill adapter. Lower the quill and look for a slot on each side of the quill - that's a knockout slot. Insert a steel wedge into the slot and tap the wedge to force the Morse taper apart.

You can buy replacement Morse taper chucks from any number of woodworking or woodturning supply places, or from metalworking supply places, or eBay. You can get them from Grizzly, Packard, Rockler, Enco, Victor, MSC, Grainger... you can buy them through Amazon, you can get them at Sears.

You can buy the assembly as one unit or as two pieces - the chuck and the adapter. If you buy it as two pieces, be sure that the adapter and the chuck have matching tapers - that's usually a Jacobs taper like a #3JT or a #34JT, for example. It's much easier if you buy one matched unit.

You can get keyed chucks, keyless chucks, and automatic chucks with a #2MT shank.

I HAVE A CRAFTSMAN SEARS 12 IN WOOD LATHE AND NEED A THREADED SPUR CENTER MOD# 149.23871

I just got the same lathe from my dad yesterday, without the spur center or center cup. I just found that Harbor Freight sells a Jacobs keyed chuck for $10 (part number 45731 ), which accepts up to a 1/2" shank. You can then use a #2MT live center, which is exponentially more common now than the 1/2"-20.

Have an older Sears Craftsman 10" Table Saw, model

you should be able to order one from sears. another place to look is ebay. the round plastic thing is to mark with pencil the cut of the blade. put in your sliding miter Gage set at 90 deg. put a piece of wood on it, push forward and cut the wood then slide back and mark the wood position on the plastic. that's the point where your blade cuts

I need a switch for an old Craftsman Sabre Saw Mod. 315.17180. Sears says they no longer carry that part.

Craftsman doesnt carry parts for tools once they hit ten years old. However, you can bypass the switch - that is remove it and just connect the two wires together. Then plug it into any power bar that has a switch.
