I have some damage on the tailgate of my truck. A golf ball sized dent and few ripple dents from someone backing into me. I know it is best to get it repaired by an autobody shop, but has anyone had a

I have body filled, and filled with body glaze in small areas before...followed by wet sanding, priming, and more wet sanding. At this point it looks good...I am just concerned about how the paint and clear coat will come out from a spray can. Worried about blotches and clouds in the finish. Any tips? Should I wet sand paint and wet sand clear coat? Thank You.

How can I fix a dent on the side of my car?

It depends a lot on the area the dent is in, the size and if the paint is cracked, damaged or scraped off. If the dent is on a body line, its going to take a lot more to fix it, if its in an open flat area without any sharp creases, you can many times do some paintless dent repair and bend it back into shape. This is the least expensive method.

If its a fender that can be removed, many shops now get a replacement fender and paint it to match. When you match paint, you generally need to blend the surrounding fenders/hood/body to get it to look right. There is a lot of skill involved with paint matching and the application of paint. Unless you have a shop and the equipment to spray it, you would need to get someone with experience to apply the paint so it looks right.

The 3rd option to repair the dent is to get a body hammer set, with a dolly/flat hammer etc and pound the dent as close to its original position as possible, then use a body filler and sand it. This part could save you money if you want to choose and have someone paint it. Or if its an old car, you could have the paint matched with the car and put in an aerosol can where you could spray it on yourself. Its not going to be perfect by a long shot, but certainly better than a big ugly dent thats been repaired and primered

How do i remove dent from a car without ruining the painted surface and many more?

Depends on how deep the dent is, is it a sharp crease, has the paint cracked in or near the dent? There are kits available that can pop out a simple dent, but not a more severe dent. You can Google paintless dent removal to see the kits and where to get one.

Cadilac front bumper

If you want to repair yourself, I would start by taking the bumper cover off, then slowly warming the dent area (front and back of the cover) with a heat gun (careful as you could easily scorch). Then pressing evenly from the backside outward. Once the dent is popped back, let cool, then inspect for finish damage that may require attention.

Else, go see a PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) tech who can affix a pull to the outside and try to draw it out.

Rear passenger side got dent how do i replace it

Joko,
You are not very clear on exactly where the dent is. The area behind the side door is called a "quarter panel". These parts are not easily replaced, as they are a welded, structural member of the car's structure. Replacement requires specialized cutting and welding tools, normally only found in auto body shops. If the dent is not to bad, you could try removing the interior plastic trim panels and pushing outward to remove the dent.
Providing that the paint is not damaged and there is not an actual crease in the quarter panel [commonly referred to as a "pop" dent] I would suggest contacting a DENT WIZARD company. They will come to your house and fix the dent, using specialized tools and skills. Do a Google search for PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR including your geographic location in the search to find local companies who can do this work. It's much cheaper than taking the vehicle to an auto body shop.

I want to push out a dent in the rear plastic bumper but I have to take it off first.

Probably so. I have seen people use a round ended bar to push through the foam backing and force the dent back out. I have also seen someone use Insulating foam (used to seal around door & windows of houses) to spray into the dent. When the foam cures it expands thus pushing the dent out and providing new foam to help it stay there.

1999 Pontiac Grand AM 4DR. SE fuel gauge and other problems(help)

I have a 97 and an 00 Grand Prix and an 03 Pontiac Montana. The fuel gauge in all three vehicles don't work. The dealer here says it's a common problem in Colorado where I live. The government required additives in the gas cause corrosion problems with the fuel level sensor float linkage that sends the signal to the fuel gauge. The repair requires the removal of your fuel tank and replacement of the linkage and sensor. It would cost somewhere around $500. I've leared to reset my trip meter with every fill-up and watch the miles and check the fuel mileage with every fill-up to make sure I know when I'm about to run out.

Toyota Sienna bumper dent

These vans have a styrofoam bumper wrapped in semi-rigid plastic. When you dented the bumper you probably dented the styrofoam as well, so depending on how deep the dent is you may not be able to bring it back to normal.

The surest way to fix the dent would be to remove the bumper by unbolting it, then taking out the styrofoam and pushing out the dent.

96 honda passport

I have the same problem with my Passport.
Thought part of my problem was it got rear ended and dented the tailgate.
I am currently having the work taken acre of at a body shop that thinks they can pull the dent out and get it open again.
I guess there's a celenoid that releases the window and not a physical latch. It sounds a bit more complicated than I had thought it would be.
I don't know if this helps but I can let you know what they find out once I get the car back.
