Check power supply for proper voltage of 12 volts DC.
-If there are multiple Hubs, check voltage on all Hubs
If the voltage is not 12V, try replacing the power supply
226888 Power Supply
-If the voltage is ok, disconnect 1 room station at a time. If there a multiple Hubs, disconnect the last Hub. As each room station and/or door station is removed, have someone else listen to see if the squeal goes away. There is a chance that one bad room or door station is causing the issue.
oIf the squealing stops, add in the previous stations that had been disconnected. If all stations other than that room station are ok, do not hook up that station. There are no replacement stations available for this system. If the squealing continues with any of the stations hooked up, there is a bad HUB. DMC-10 Hubs are NLA and cannot be repaired. The best option for a replacement is the I2000 Kit

My car makes a loud squealing sound when i start it

Mary,

This type of problem is best checked by a trusted mechanic. I doubt you'd hear squealing noises from the crankshaft or harmonic balancer; but it is likely to be heard from a belt tensioner pulley, water pump (or other belt-driven devices under the hood - such as the alternator, power steering pump, etc.). A loose or slipping belt can also cause this noise.

Spraying WD-40 on the source of the squeal may quiet the sound - but not solve the problem that is causing it. By simply masking the problem with WD-40 instead of fixing it - you run the risk of the squealing part failing catastrophically - probably at the least desirable place and time.

For your own safety and convenience, have this problem checked and repaired properly.

Good luck!

Squealing under hood

could be the alternator or the power steering bearings. more like to be the power steering pump if it is the alternator spray some wd40 on the bearing shaft as the engine is running can do this to the power steering pump but it dont usually get to the bearing. unless you spray it in the breather hole on the shaft housing..

Hi. I have an M&S System Music and Sound System

It sounds like the Amplifier has failed. Depending on your Technical abilities you could open the unit and check for Damaged Components on the PCB where your Speakers are connected.

If you don't think you could handle this yourself then you should be able to take it to a shop for a technician to have a look at it.

If you decide to have a look yourself then just ask if you require any further assistance once opened.

Please leave feedback

PROBLEM WITH MY HUB DES-10160(D-LINK)

Yes the LAN will report plugged and unplugged when the hub goes on and off.

Is this a new or used hub?
If it is used, how old is it?
Is it plugged into a good power source?
If it's plugged into a surge protector, do any other the other items plugged into the surge protector do the same power on and off?
Has it sustained any damage recently (lightening storms, power surges in the house etc).
