Double vision on rca tv - Philips Magnavox 50ML8105D 50" HDTV DLP TV

double vision? is this multicolored. red green blue? is the picture bowed. Have you tried going to setup in customer menu and adjusting convergence, Both manual and autoconvergence.

Ur tv have a convergence problems,it dead.The 2 STK convergence ICS are defective,must be change and it supporting resistors.The shop will fix it for u for $300-350 for parts and labors.

sounds like the sensors are out of focus and your red sensor isnt turning on. look in the back of the tv for a master reset button or in your menu screen some sort of "Flash focus" or "convergence". They will realign the 3 sensors.

Is the convergence adjustment option still listed on the on screen menu or has it disappeared? Thats a very easy chassis to repair so let me know if the option has disappeared or not and I can asssist you with how to fix it.

Hello my name is willie. I see this problem alot on these units at the shop. And from what you describe. THis might be the very common problem with the fl231 fuse. this is a very fine fuse that blows due to bad solder connections. If u can solder and get this very special fuse then this is a very easy simple repair. But the first question you can answer to determine if this is true. is that when you go into customer menu then setup do you have a convergence option in the menu if you do not it is definatley this fuse. if you do then it will be something else like convergence power board. let me know if it is and i will see if i can talk you through the repair.

your convergence alignment is off,requires reaignment or possible replacement of module,this type of rca projection tv has a fault with the harness feeding the convergence module there is a fix for it,contact you local rca dealer,they must replace the connector because it bows and looses connection over time that creates other faults also/
