Does the unit have a flame sensor? Check manual. Flame sensors get corroded and need cleaned or replaced. I have had success cleaning them but when you can buy a new flame sensor

SOURCE: Central heating and hot water have suddenly stopped working

not an engineer but maybe a heating compant,, it sounds like you have a relay that has gone bad, you have what we call a winter summer system your domestic water comes from a tank inside the boiler, you might want to think about splitting the system to save you some money in the long run, seperate the water heater from the boiler so you only heat up in the winter, right now you are heating the system that heats your house to get 30 or 40 gals of domestic hot water, it would cost you less by seperating them

SOURCE: bosch 25e water heater wont ignite

combi or standard if combi pressure too high and will be blowing off your high pressure release valve which would stop your boiler from igniting best of luck

Hi I have a Bosch water heater w135 When I turn the hot water tap on the heater will flare up as it should But then after a minute the flame goes out again I was told itā€™s the glue temperature sensor...

One possibility - insufficient gas flow or oxygen starvation might be making the pilot light dip when the main flame is on so the thermocouple bulb is no longer heated. This will cause the main flame to go out and restore full pressure/sufficient oxygen to the pilot.

Hi We have a Bosch 25e ranout of gas today delivery tomorrow. I have connected 9kg emergency bottle but Pilot light gone out and unit wont ignite. how do I restart?? Thanks Noel

iF YOU RAN OUT OF GAS, THE LINES MAY NEED TO BE PURGED OF AIR. dISCONNECT THE GAS FLEX AND TURN THE GAS ON TO PURGE THE AIR FROM THE LINE. dO THIS UNTIL YOU GET A STRONG SMELL OF GAS. aLSO, WHEN YOUR UNIT TRIES TO LIGHT, BUT THERE IS NO GAS, IT WILL TRY TO LIGHT THREE TIMES. aFTER THE THIRD ATTEMPT, THE UNIT LOCKS OUT. yOU MAY NEED TO RESET IT BY UNPLUGGING IT, OR IF IT IS HARD WIRED, JUST TURN THE BREAKER OFF FOR 10 SECOINDS AND THEN TURN BACK ON. tHIS WILL RESET THE GAS VALCE TO RELIGHT. gOOD LUCK!

Fixya is always less expensive than a service call, but does not take place of service call since you will be doing the work yourself, on a complicated appliance that is affected by perfect cooperation of internal parts, and external factors.

Hi i have installed a few bosch gas geysers at our lodge in mozambique. The problem is that the water gets hot when we turn the water on then the heat just shuts off and the water gets cold after a short...

The problem with all that type of water heater is that once the hot tap is turned on sufficient flow must be maintained through the water heater to keep the main gas burner alight. If the heat adjuster is turned up to high, then the person using the hot water will turn it down to a low rate which means the main burner will turn off and result in cold water. Try setting the heat control to the lowest setting that still gives hot enough water. If you have a thermometer adjust control for a temperature of around 50 to 55 degrees Celcius. You may have to fiddle with fine adjustments to get the temperature and flow rates to maintain a constant output of hot water. You may still have intermittent problems. If the heater only supplies baths or showers you could set the temperatuer even lower (45 to 50) to ensure that the hot tap is used more than the cold which will maintain flow and therefore heat.

Wont stay fired up

Bosch tech support will ask you to turn off the valve to the water heater and open a hot water tap. If you have water flowing it is likely from a shower valve. My experience is Price Pfister shower valves are usually the culprit. Let me know how this turns out.

Problems with bosch 1600h ng tankless wh igniting

I found that the solution to my issue of not igniting was due to a bad pilot electrovalve part #8708501249. It was about a $50 part that was bad from the start.
Really disappointing that Bosch's QA would let a such a defective part ship. I spent about 3 years of using a workaround with a fan blowing air to get ignition until it finally failed. I had a tech look over the system to point me in the right direction.

Pilot lights (not always) but gas will not flow into burner

First Clean the ignitor assembly and make sure the flame is reaching the flame sensor strongly.

You may need to replace the flame sensor.
