Have simonelli Oscar coffee machine and the water reservoir will not go down in its slot
Check for o ring gasket worn out

check the level probe on side of boiler may not be facing down as it should or need to be replaced.

Make sure there is water in the boiler, unlug machine remove the top panel and on the side of the boiler is a reset thermostat.

I have the same machine. I just went on the coffee geeks website and it is easily solved. Just add a few grains of salt to the reservoir - the sensor cant detect water that is purified - strange but true as four grains and it fired up just like that.
