Paper jam I have an HP Officejet Pro L7680 All in One. I have been using it primarily to make copies, app.500 copies per week for app. 2 years. We use the "fast" quality to make copies. Now the paper does not get picked up correctly, and it jams frequently. It will pick up several pieces of paper at a time. I have cleaned all the parts that I could reach, and I have inspected to get any torn or loose pieces of paper out of the machine. I have changed to "normal" quality print. This helps only marginally. The paper still either won't get picked up or multiple pieces of paper get picked up. The machine makes a grinding noise when operating.

Hp office jet l7680, paper jam, however no visible paper remaining, jam indicator still flashing.

If the printer shows ready and after you send the print or copy job it gives you paper jam, then the problem is with the pickup roller.

Let me know and I will help you further.

Our HP L7680 keeps telling us there is a paper jam...and there for will not let us copy etc. There is no papaer jam?

Unplug the power, open up all the covers and make sure there are no foreign objects (even small peices of ripped paper).

Close everthing up and power on.
If the message persists, there is a sensor problem

When trying to use the scanner to make a copy of a document. The paper jammed, how do you remove it? It said on the glass window to remove the back where the ink containers are. I did that but I cannot see...

There are possible 2 places for the paper jam, either the Feeder has jammed or from the input tray.
For Feeder, you just have to open the feeder from the top and see if there are any pieces sticking in.
Else, you can open the print head cover and look for pieces of paper jammed in it.
Another place you may see is by removing the rear of the printer, it is called a duplexor which can be taken off easily. You may find some bits of pieces in rear of the printer.
To avoid getting another jam, try to keep the paper in a cool and dry place. If the paper absorbs any humidity, it starts crumpling which results in paper jam. You can also try fanning the papers before putting in a bunch and use a recommended paper for the printer.
Hope this helps.
Cheers...

Printer gives repeated "clear paper jam" messages and even though there is no paper anywhere in the paper path it will not clear.
