My Dell Vostro 1400 ''G'' keyboard button keeps coming off. I called Dell they want $45 plus to replace all of the keyboard and will not resale just a ''G'' button. How can I solve this problem without spending alot of money?

We generally cannot get a key replaced, the entire touch pad needs replacement which might cost $45,,,there is no other way out if u do not have warranty..

Hi ravi_kuma108 i have the same problem you described in a similar laptop. did you find a solution or clue about it? I only can guess its a bottom flex-cable connector or top flex-cable connector problem. If you had something you can share i will be apreciated.
If you can't see it with an external monitor - it generally means the system board needs replacement. I hope that you still have a Dell warranty. Good luck.
Did you download the latest audio drivers from Dell.com? If not here is the link to the drivers for that device based off Vostro 1400 using Vista 32 bit Edition.
