Now the screen will not come on, but before that happened every time the color white would show up on the screen it would make a scratching sound,the screen would also have trouble turning on. The TV is on the screen isnt on though. Do you have any Ideas on what it is and how much it might cost?

I did replace the caps yet nothing. BUT those caps were bulged at the top so I was certain it would work. DAMN!
Replace all the capacitors on the board. The ones that were originally place on the board are defective. I would replace them with the next larger voltage rated capacitor.
