How replace belt danby electric dryer dcd5505w

Remove the retaining screws off from the front panel. Remove the two wires connected to the door switch(the wires can go back on either way).Pull the front panel away from the drum. Look down to the bottom right corner facing the front of the unit and locate the tensioner and drive pulleys. If the old belt is still intact(which is usually not the case) remember the routing order of the belt. Slide the new belt onto the drum keeping in mind which side goes to the drum. The ribbed side should face outward.Next you want to curl the belt over the tensioner(providing the tensioner is still in it's slot) and then over the drive pulley. Replace the front panel and the door switch wires. You're good to go. Thank you, Dana

Dryer runs but wont tumble

Try checking to see if the dryer belt is broken, the dryer belt wraps around the drum and goes to a motor at the bottom of the dryer that turns the drum, if so you can usually get a replacement belt from the maker of your dryer by visiting there website.

Where can I buy the dryer belt?

I bought my dryer belt dirrectly from Danby. They first gave me the name of a company to get it from, when I called them, I was told they no longer handled Danby. So I called Danby back, the woman I talked with was very helpful. She ordered the belt and sent instructions on how to change the belt out myself, and said if I had any problems with the installation, give them a call. It took me about two and a half hourse to replace the belt. But if I had to do it again I think I could do it in 30 to 45 min. By the way I'm a 60yr old woman.
